Yep the FM is keeping a leash on things. He’s a details man.

Colder today but still managed a run. Didn’t go when it was boiling...and last week was pretty intense work wise so not a lot of usable time. Plodding along with the debt busting and just moved Italy plans for summer to 2021. Looks like we can just move our  booking for which I am heartily relieved and very grateful to a small business being so understanding. Think we will try and get away for 10 days in UK in the Motorhome. Maybe Yorkshire or Northumberland. Fancy seeing some sea and wide beaches :) Id love to go to Scotland but not sure about the journey as yet, The islands are quite a haul from Bristol. Also need to be mindful of OH’s work. We may need to be agile.

Relaxing this afternoon. Have meal planned. Only 1 food item, maybe 2, to buy for all next week :) OH working, DD2 with BF after a class today, DD1 reading. I may read too But am loving catching up on the diaries. Been much too long x
We still have our ferries booked for August (out to the mainland) and back in September. Not decided what to do. We were originally driving to Italy (NL, DE, A, I and back via CE and F, stopping to see friends). We are just not sure we will be welcomed. We also have a weekend booked in the midlands, less than 20 miles from the Leicester outbreak!

Watch out for midges if you go to the highlands in the summer!
    Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £10,020.92 out of £6000 after September
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £2234.63/£3000 or 74.49% of my annual spend so far (not going to be much of a Christmas at this rate as no spare after 9 months!
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread

Haha!! We tend to go coastal with a nice sea breeze That seems to keep them at bay!!
Hope you get to go SL. Agree we need to be sensitive as to how we go and what we expect as we go. We are definitely staying in the UK for a holiday but OH will be off out by end of month for work all being well. He’s definitely brighter as a result.

Did a long 11k run yesterday as well as a yoga class. Broken today! But nice to do. Hoping for a calm week next week and to catch up with a friend or two.

    Have a lovely Sunday all

Blimey. It’s a while since I posted...sorry all. But all good here. Work is getting back to ‘normal’ for OH and that makes things easier. He’s off for a week for work from tomorrow. DDs are in a good space and we have all done OK during lockdown. Off for a very MSE camping trip in a few weeks which we are all looking forward to but in the meantime have been enjoying the garden and some decent weather.

More  debt has been paid off as well as one investment in the ISA.

If we can keep this up and our lodger comes back (tentative plans and it will be great to see them but will mean some shuffling of bedrooms and study areas) reckon we can have a small emergency fund and have paid off all the credit cards etc and be in the black by October. Not bad considering where our finances stood last Autumn. Not quite as much paid off as it should have been this month, I am blaming a large wine delivery (Shop local and reduce carbon has been taken literally here, it gets delivered by an amazing family company based a few streets away and comes to the UK from Portugal by sailing boat :) ) , some workout clothes for me, much needed base layers for OH (the others had holes all over them so we had had our moneys worth) as well as books and a weekend (well one night) away for me and OH.. I don’t regret it but I am intrigued by how resentful I was when the payments started hitting the account. I hope this is a sign that our (my?) attitude to spending is shifting. Since March we have put no less than 75% of OHs salary each month towards the debt/investments and that needs to continue. We need our ‘no spend’ to run around 40% of our overall income.

Raining here now. Need to get up and get some breakfast. Running is still continuing and getting my mojo back about yoga. Not going back in the gym as yet but am sure will go in next few weeks

have a great day all and thanks for checking in

    love Brizzle xx

All sounds good!  I'm the same, I'm hating to see spends starting to trickle in again.  Have a good weekend :)
