Hi All
Hope you're all staying well and safe.
Well, its such a weird situation isnt it. I have often done a lot of work from home, but never like this and its sooooo quiet out. Although jogging is now pretty popular!!!
I am in the middle of virtual meetings but thought I'd pop on here to make a note of March as we are slowly but surely climbing out of the mess.
In March we spent a lot on
- tax fund (but we may ultimately get a refund when last year's accounts are all sorted and submitted)
- van was crazy expensive with both tax and a big service - oh well, part of the joy of owning a vehicle
- classes and lessons for DD2 were in full pelt, still ongoing as many are virtual but its a big sum
- bike maintenance - over £300!! - but it is OH's main form of transport
- lots of wine and groceries (can't see that changing, well the wine element anyway!!)
- household - some Amazon bits as well as isolation activities - lots of crafty things purchased which are being well used.
So after that 'little' lot we only saved 15% of our income. Not exactly enough to put us into the FI Hall of Fame but I'll take it. These are disconcerting times and the main thing is we continue to pay off the credit cards and not spend more than we earn.
Take care

Thanks for popping by, hope you and your families are ok. Last day of a crazy working week. Need to refocus at the weekend and build a routine. Am running most days but otherwise it’s just work at the moment. I need to put in some scaffolds for my days and weeks and achieve some peace and inner calm during this time. It may be a saving goal, a yoga pose or a craft skill, it could even be some box sets!!! But I will start to regroup and work out what I want to do instead of being buffeted by the storms around us. But I am not complaining, grateful that went employed 17 months ago and not (yet) furloughed. OH is also employed in a world of freelancers. We are all well, life could be much trickier. Very grateful for what we have.
take care all xx5 -
