welcome newbies - why not introduce yourselves so we know all about you?
Sorry to hear that numpty - when will you hear either way? Hoe it sorts for you soon. Horrible having that uncertainty.
A quiet few days here as had a lump removed so am being looked after by mum! May venture out (slowly!) later on - sun is shining & it looks lovely out which is typical!! Spent very little though!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Hello !
Thank you In Search of Me. We had a mini light bulb moment in December and then a full blown one in January ! Having spent a month lurking on here we now have a plan. We have started a spending diary which is very helpful. Our shopping bill has been reduced by switching a few brands and it could be reduced more if necessary. We are planning to switch some phone providers etc when our contracts end later on this year. Our car boot sale is planned for this Sunday. My husband has been doing Amazon for a while already. I have registered with Quidco and pigsback and resumed doing surveys. We feel very positive now and in control for the first time in ten years. It may well take us until 2012 or even 2013 with my most recent calculation but we are determined ! There is no going back now we are sure. We would like to say a big big thank you for all your help so far and I cant wait to get to know you all !
Love AM xx:j0 -
Sorry to hear of your unlucky run Numpty hope it turns around soon. Dont worry about the moan everyone needs to at some point and unfortunately you seem have good reason.
Take care ISOM, dont push yourself too hard with anything.

You know I reckon February is definately much much worse than January. I am sooooooooooooo skint it is a nightmare. I have £3 to do me until I get some money on Tuesday  . Doing my head in being so skint. Hope everyone is well . I hope you are taking care of yourself ISOM . xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
MIT, I think I've got to agree with you mate. I've got two more weeks til payday and I'm getting close to overdraft mode , which I have tried so hard NOT to get to. Fortunately I've managed to sell a few books on Amazon. Getting into debt was so much easier and painless
Anyway, I've been looking at my mobile/landline/internet usage and have now made a few changes which should save a few shekels to pass onto my impending increased rent and council tax payments. It's just pass the parcel isn't it? :rolleyes:The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420 -
afternoon all! Hope your at is as beautiful & sunny as it is here! Like the rest of you I'm skint & have gone into od for the first time in 2 yrs after overpaying last month! I get paid on weds thankfully but am overjoyed to see the back of Jan! Think I may just pay the mins this month and catch up with myself - car needs a service, cats still need innoculating (but I'll leave that till next month so its staggered with car!!) and want to ay od off - only 20 but still od!! I do have some money due back from GM & MBNA which covers it though & £20 in my purse! Had a nospender today & loads of food in!
Feeling fine ta - having to go slow due to stiches so no excercise but did manage to get to the allotment this am and cleared some brambles which was v satisfying but no digging allowed - although was tempted!! Any new on the job numpty? I agree poorbabe - I saved money on my mortgage & then the gas & elec went up! Must do a comparison as SP have just put prices up!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Hi ISOM, hope you feeling better today.
I'm having a down day re the money spending. Just seems that I manage to take one step forward and a few hundred steps back at the monent . My one consolation is my sealed jar is slowly creeping upwards.
This is my year to make the changes I need and I'm hoping as the year rolls on it gets easier cos right now it's a tad painfulThe 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420 -
Hi poorbabe Im sure it will get easier (I hope so anyway!). When the weather warms up should help.
Darn Tom Tom has broke and I really rely on it for work. I cant just go and buy another one. Will ring the helpline shortly and hope its just a glitch.
Hope you are feeling better ISOM (Should have a read of your diary really shouldnt I?!).:j0 -
Morning - hugs for you poorbabe - can relate to what youre saying as my CC's seem to have just stuck and desite paying stuff off get nowhere at the moment - or thats what it feels like! We'll get there & just need t o keep plugging away at it & stop spending in my case but there are essentials in life like cars (couldnt do without mine due to work) etc and we have to accept it wil take time but some montsh are more frustrating than others...its the interest thats a b****! Wendy I couldnt do without my tomtom now as have no sence of direction! Hope you sort it! Yes feeling ok thanks but its slow going & I'm impatient & want to start my race for life training!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
