Hi guys
Finally got the news I was hoping for a pay rise! By the time tax credits have been updated, council tax, elec, gas and rent increases are factored in it will probably not amount to much but its still great news.
This should hopefully mean the DFD wont be extended as the budget is tight at the mo.
Hows things going with you? Are you all waiting for payday to make the next installments?!:j0 -
hi there...finding it hard this week as in o/d for the first time in a year and its freaking me out...partly because i had to get some new clothes as nothing fitted but I hate it! Also realised that I need to do grocery challenge from 20 to 20th as ran out of money mid month!! Spent less but still!! Slightly got the long haul blues as it seems such a long time today but know its because I'm shattered after a very busy few weeks at work & not helped by an increase in my mortgage & gas within 2 days of each other. Sometimes just feels so much a struggle and its exhausting..I know I'll be OK & in a much better position than many....
Great news on the pay rise Wendy! Go girl! Well done jonny on breaking the £1000 barrier!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Hi guys. I hope everyone is doing okay. I am struggling this month. I really need to get my spending diary going again as that really keeps me on the straight and narrow. A NSD for me today but thats the first for ages. Been a really expensive month so far
x5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
I know what you mean MIT - no council tax and then wham! something else happens. On a brighter note it has been gorgeous weather today and my garden has had a good tidy!
1 stepIf you wait for perfect conditions, nothing would ever get done! :T

Hi fellow long haulers, not been on for a while as worked overtime. Still plugging away. It looks like free money bingo has dried up for me, managed to get signed onto couple of sites but balance said £0.00. Will give it couple of weeks then try again. Will also spend some time trying to get my head around MB.
When I started this journey my DFD was June 2011, it is now down to Jul 2010, sounds so far but each money is flying by - just 29 to go worst case scenario.
I am off to New York this week (not very moneysaving I know but I haven't been away for 3 years and I got the trip for bargain price). It was all paid for through overtime, before LBM it would have been on the credit card without a second thought! I am so excited, everyone says I will spend a fortune shopping but I don't really enjoy shopping tbh, just want to go for the atmosphere and sight seeing!
Will catch up when I get back later next week. Have a good weekend everyone.xxxSecond and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time :mad:0 -
