Keep posting and ask for hints and tips and if theres anything you want to know just ask coz someone on here will be able to help you.Just taking the first step by being on here is a good start:T Good luck

Hello everyone
I'd like to return to the fold please. I've been away awhile, but I never completely lost track of clearing my debts. I haven't always been good by any stretch of the imagination, but the figures have gone down! My most extravagant spend was on a dating site where I met my new partner, so money well spent I think.
I've been made redundant twice, in three years, this may have helped me keep control of my finances! I'm currently unemployed but phoning, emailing and trolling through the job sites daily. I must hold some all time record for the number of replies I don't get! Some days this is very disheartening.
I'm trying to make ends meet by selling stuff on eBay and doing some freelance writing. All I can say is God bless porridge and homemade bread, nice and cheap! I still cook everything from scratch and make meal plans. It's not just for economy now, I actually enjoy cooking.
I've always found the site inspiring, so I'm hoping it will give me the much needed kick up the backside to get back into work. With this in mind I'll probably start up another diary in the near future.
I look forward to getting to know you all again.Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

Ah well, not long now MIT. I assume it won't need to be complete paid off before you get the house? It suspect you need to get a purchase before the next boom period - presuming we have another that is:eek: so, maybe only a couple of years or even less before you can go for it:TLBM August 2011.
