That sounds like bliss! Well, exchange the dogs for my cats for me and that would be perfect :D I too am on the fluffy sock hunt for xmas. Not a thrilling present for others perhaps, but I love them!! :D

I see you have a debt with MBNA, so do I, it is a CC. I must say they are my favourite bank that I have a CC with, their website is soooo easy to use. Plus the payments seem to update on there super fast. :) My Lloyds TSB CC doesn't even have a website! :(

You are doing well on the diet, ignore us. The waffle on my diary is calorie-free :p

Fluffy socks £1 a pair in good old poundst*******s , I have filled out DD's stocking with them;)

Thanks for that! I have asked for some for xmas from a friend, but I might need to get some more in the new year too. I must say that we have a local pound shop opened up in the last few weeks, and it has been a revelation! 16 batteries for a quid! Love it.

Okay dokey, time for the financials:eek:

    Outstanding amounts:
    • Sainsburys 3460
    • Santander 3850
    • Virgin 4390
    • Tesco loan 973.80
    Total debt 12673.80:T
    Overdrafts:
    • Santander £750
    • HSBC £550
    Total £1300:T

    Overall debt total £13973.80:eek:

This year we've finihed paying an overdraft of £1900 back to Barclays and reduced another from £300 to £100 which is going to stay at that amount. I've reduced my HSBC from £700 to £550 and aim to get that down to £100 and keep that as a buffer zone.

In March the tesco loan finishes which will free up £324.60. This year despite increasing the debt in January by 6k we have paid back £10595.93:T

So its going to be a bit of a push to clear that last bit. My car is very tired but I have a cunning plan (said in best Baldrick voice and where's BOB when you need her?) OH is going to arrange for our tame mechanic to do £100 of work on her each month as the MOT is looming. Also my DS1 is 17 in March and will probably practice in mine due to her being a geriatric. Morris is in for an MOT and service on Thursday and fingers crossed he should sail through.

Potentially this time next year we could be posting on the roll of honour but lets not tempt fate.

Well done!! :T That sounds great, when you don't have that tesco loan anymore it will be a key milestone for you. Do you plan to throw the extra money at your debts, or spend some of it, or split it halfway and do both?

Inspiring updates like this are why I love this thread!! :)

  • Well done Lucielle, that is an amazing achievement - dedication to the cause is the way forward  Keep up the good work and keep going! :T
    Just keep swimming!
  • Yay lucielle thats great! Loans finishing are a huge milestone arent they!
One of mine ends next Nov which will free up more money to go on evils (my new name for cc's). Spinning wheel sold for 171 which I was chuffed with as 100 more that I paid and had expected her to go for 100ish so chuffed with that. Money will come off the Barclays card which is the first to go...
How are people doing resisting Christmas temptation and do's? mine is on Friday night and Im driving so will keep it cheap and avoid an unwanted hangover!

I have turned down my invitation to my work do; the food is free but the taxi home and new outfit is not! Instead I am going to local high street pubs with my friend with no taxi required and the wearing of jeans acceptable:beer:

    Good choice standingtall...
I went on my staff do but i drove so that the cost was minimal - it was a meal out and it cost £15 in total - I had paid a deposit ages ago so it wasn't too bad... I didn't get dressed up too much as it wasnt' fancy so I feel like i've done quite well on the going out front. Over Christmas I'm going out this saturday for a meal - i'm driving, and then on new year - for a meal . I've paid for this saturday already so wont' cost anything except a couple of diet cokes, and then new year I need to budget for out of decembers pay. other than those two nights we won't be goign out at all!!
