Dont know where you all are living but I am in west central Scotland and we have a lovely hurricane today. So scary. Allschools closed and lots of offices etc closed down. We were sent home at 12 thank god. Thought my wee car was going to turn into chitty chitty bang bang :rotfl:

Are you ok? Sounds really scary, I hate driving in wind! Love the chitty reference :D If you could attach a couple of wind turbines, it would be well MSE :money:
  • , mine is a load of old waffle too but it is MY waffle...with syrup...nyom nyom nyom...lol xx

    Hi,

I really feel for you. I used to feel like crying quite a lot, but now i only do it every now and again (progress! lol!). Actually felt like that earlier when i realised i had made a vast underestimation of my DFD. Had to add another few years to it.
I have superglued a jam jar shut and am emptying my coppers into there. Used to do it before, but would raid it every now and again. Am determined not to this time though, and reckon after a couple of months i'll be able to pay a little off my water bill (which isnt included n my payplan plan).

    Keep your chin up.

Dont cry... you have a dfd, that in itself is amazing ! I haven't got one yet.. I'm discovering through keeping an exact diary of my spending that I spend an absolute fortune on apparently nothing!!!! Am working this weekend but am going to get a dfd over Christmas. Good plan with the jam jar!

That sounds like bliss! Well, exchange the dogs for my cats for me and that would be perfect :D I too am on the fluffy sock hunt for xmas. Not a thrilling present for others perhaps, but I love them!! :D

I see you have a debt with MBNA, so do I, it is a CC. I must say they are my favourite bank that I have a CC with, their website is soooo easy to use. Plus the payments seem to update on there super fast. :) My Lloyds TSB CC doesn't even have a website! :(

You are doing well on the diet, ignore us. The waffle on my diary is calorie-free :p
  • Morning all; having a lovely quiet day here, wrapping presents and doing cards plus recouping after a ridiculously busy week. My spinning wheel has 50 watchers on it and it finishes tomorrow night...everything crossed and prayers said! Was good and resisted buying and extra toy for friends baby and now have 1 present to get plus a couple of boxes of cho and that's me done. We are soundproofing the sitting room and bedroom over Christmas (while we are all away!) so that will be an opportunity to declutter. Have to say its lovely not to have to think of food shopping etc...bliss. Got a nice day out in Bath on Monday although parking will be fun!

I have 2 cats too... one of them thinks he is a dog!! sometimes there's all five of us squashed onto one sofa with OH sat on the floor!!

I've just been on the MBNA website - It is fantastic you're right. My Lloyds CC comes up on my internet banking but i haven't used it for over a year - I'm going cancel it actually - another job I need to do but never got round to!

I was supposed to be writing cards tonight - I haven' t done them - well done you you sound super organised - has given me a kick up the bum to get some wrapping and card writing done tomorrow..

Have a lovely time in Bath .. I've only been once but it is very lovely.. When I'm debt free i'm going to go for a weekend there... As well as the other million things i want to do.. Maybe I should write a 'when i'm debt free i will...' list to keep me inspired!!

Hope all long haulers are on track and having a lovely weekend.. I may not pop in tomorrow as I and in work til 11pm so likely to be going straight to bed...
