Yep, I've survived the spending review and already thinking about higher than normal council tax plus social house rent for the next couple of years. Oh joy
The debts are slowly, but surely going down so I'm happy about that. Now it's confirmed my retirement age has increased to age 66 I'm thinking of throwing a party to celebrate. Oh wait, I can't afford to!
On a different topic, I've just discovered my microwave dish cover makes a not-too-bad sieve. I used it to strain my spaghetti :j
Despite the doom and gloom some friends and I will be partying during the Christmas season and I've got a dinner with my work colleagues. All budgetted for :TThe 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420 -
lol poorbabe.... if only it was all that funny though. Definitely tough times ahead unfortunately. I wouldn't be able to sell mine, perhaps I could trade it for a bag of spuds?0
-
Mines too busy warming up a baby therefore if i sold it would need to be rehoused and with the social housing disappearing that wouldnt be possible......lol.
I have been very weepy these days I presume its because of my hormones but I started panicking the other day about losing my job and my oh losing his and us losing everything and i can seem to get my day to day expenses down everything I pay out I have to and i was annoyed because the majority of money goes on my OHs debts which werent evenmine until I met him and so I was annoyed at him....and im getting upset again so I best stop.
Just cant see any light at the end of any tunnels at the moment..... Anyone got a flashlight spare?
Hope everyone else is ok and enjoying life a little more

I'm so sorry you are feeling blue Annibee - you've done so well and I'm sure with your positive and sensible attitude all will work out. The little hormones are obviously taking their toll - all will settle down soon, I'm sure x0 -
Hormones....aaaarrrghhh.....horrible, horrible things. Designed to turn any perfectly sane and happy person MAD!
You are doing a great job and do not lose sight of it. i know it can seem a long tunnel (shouldn't be saying that when your pregnant, sorry!)....actually, I can't believe I just said that. Apologies! Anyway, back to it.....it must be hard especially when the debts aren't yours, but every month that passes is another month to being debt free. Then you can demand shoes and handbags.....no, sorry, shouldn't be encouraging that sort of thing....although maybe at least shoes would be in order, don't you think??!
Hang in there annibee - once your baby comes it will enough of a distraction to keep your mind off things - trust me!
clareb, I'm afraid I have to conclude you are mad flying with a 2 year old a 3 month old! Although the last big drive we did, our little one was 1 year old and it took 9 hours in the car - not fun! At least it will be over fairly quickly for you. Hope you have a great time and enjoy yourself.
EB69 - I think we should collectively sell our bodies and if you get a bag of spuds I could hopefully drum up enough for some sausages and we could have a nice meal afterwards.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend - I'll be working unfortunately...think of the money....think of the money....

Well talisker, if we manage to raise spuds and sausages I think we need someone to donate the fried onions... But if that's all we can raise between us it's a poor show!
I will be working too, although only for a while in the morning. Then I am taking my bag of spuds off to see the bf to let him feed me some yummy food - he is a fab cook so always a treat. I'm sure it's not the only reason I am seeing him though... Well, almost sure...0 -
