Hello and welcome to Kazzy - nice to have you along for the journey!
EB69 - I didn't realise but we seem to be on the same level of debt. I'm optimistically looking at 7 years to pay it all off, but I have a feeling it may be longer! Good luck with your debt busting and I hope there are many more dirty dancing nights to come!
I've had a shocking month. The worst this year without a doubt, and unfortunately I have no-one to blame but myself. I got an unexpected extra £100 in overtime this month and I spent it. Unfortunately I didn't just spend that, I spent another £150 over my overdraft and my OH had to bail me out - she was none best pleased! I think it I have just been so careful with money all year I just suddenly enjoyed having money again and went a bit bonkers. What did I spend it on? FOOD.... lots and lots of FOOD! Cakes, chocloate....mmm, it was great. The funny thing is I never seem to put on weight....sorry girls...
Anyway, its been a shocking month. We have to wait til Friday until the OH is paid and I have no petrol in my tank and no food (I ate it all!)....so feeling particular bad about myself today, but it will help me get back 'on the ladder' before Christmas at least. Will be a long week to get through!
On the upside, I have £50 in my paypal from ebay which I refuse to take out because I'll just spend it on cakes! Next month WILL be better....it has to be!!
Anyway....enough self pity. Asusual, venting to you my long haul friends makes me feel much better..... I wonder if I can squeeze enough worm juice out into the petrol tank to get me to work and back for the week..... I'll let you know......Debt Sept 2007 (1st LBM) - £63,000 :embarasseStarted DMP July 2012 (2nd LBM) - £34,000DFD (currently) - 12 years!"Failure is not falling down, but refusing to get up."0 -

Woohoo - another debt buddy!
I totally get what you mean about going bonkers after having been so good - I always seem to do that after having a major debt bust - within months its back to where it was and then some! But not any more chaps, eh??? :-)0 -
Hello All,
Off to work in a min, Hopefully when i get home I can make some money somewhere else somehow!!! Last night was good got my moneys on a cashback site up to the threshold so as soon as its all verefied thats another £30 towards the maternity pot
Me and OH have set ourselves the massive target of making £150 per month to put in maternity savings
(The savings are hopefully to cover the extra loss of earnings when i go on maternity leave!)
Hope everyone has a moneyrific day!!!

Morning all, don't be too hard on yourself talisker. Let's just accept we can't clear our debts in a day as much as we would love to it very hard as human being to accept we are taking the scenic route in debt free wannabe life, I think sometimes we are too tough on ourselves and we can't all be mse tight thrifty spenders especially when cake is involved so chin up and maybe pat yourself on the back and be proud of what you have done so far xI AM A MONEY MAGNET, THEY ARE MAKING MORE MONEY FOR ME AS WE SPEAK:pMIKES MOB, DFW NERD 1071, DFW LHS 132!MIRACLES HAPPEN I'VE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. well i owe 35000 on my mortgage, and i have 14500 in debts! i have been on CAP debt plan for the last 5 years, all was going well untill 2009 when my hubby got made redundant.
hubby is self employed as a handyman but he hasnt really do work at the mo, he used to be a labourer on building sites.( he loved his job)
i work on minimum wage as a nursery nurse for the local church!! (i love my job too)
all was going well till our car broke!!! which is bit of a worry at the moment as all money goes to the debt plan. tom is saving all money he gets to pay for car think its going to be around 1500!
plus we have 4 daughters and 1 grandson!! 18, 17 16,13 and im only 35!!!!!! i started young!!!!
Speak to your CAP support worker- he/she will be able to work something out with you- there may be enough in your CAp account to meet the expenses but CAp will be able to help don't feel you have to do this alone. Well done!now debt free and determined to maintain good spending habits and build savings0 -
Hello everyone - hope you're well and have survived the spending review.
I'm £180 into clearing my car loan. I reckon I could get that up to £700 before Christmas. Following that, it will take something of a miracle to get up to £2000.... IF I can get there my next goal is £3500 by Summer, which will be impossible, but we all need goals!
