    Have a good time Soma.:D

Well happy birthday Sunfleur! Those handmade cards sound lovelier than any hundreds you could've got through the post! Your post made me smile and far from too philosophical for a Saturday! I know what you mean about the good happys - my OH mentioned last night what a difference my input has made to his budgeting and his enjoyment of life (we were reflecting on the stupidity of my best friend, who we worked out spent £250 on a night out last weekend then winged that she's in debt and wants to go BR!)

Dinner's being cooked for me again tonight and we're off to MILs tomorrow as my BIL's off work and some jobs need doing so we're all helping out. So it looks like my cooking, baking and recipe-inventing will have to wait til Monday, fitting in around my dentist appt at 3.45! I *hope* to cook the wraps on Monday evening as I think even my dd will enjoy them (we had a nightmare at dinner time last night!)
Great tip on the cold water after heating the veg for the freezer - my veg always comes out nasty when I cook it, and with tips I'm now learning my way around steaming etc! I chickened out on getting the carrots and decided to use up the frozen batons we have first!

Am planning on making an apple crumble too, and will sit this evening having a good read through my recipes for new/easy/freezable ideas!
Got sooo much space still in the chest freezer I am VERY happy! Although I'm tempted to leave all the cooking to OH now, he's just made some very yummy fluffy mashed potato... mmm my tummy's rumbling! Catch you later! Cannot stop me when food is calling! lol
I've got nothing else but I've got my family.

Will you STOP talking about FOOD as you have been making me hungry over the last two days LOL I love mashed potato - freezes well too:) My friend made me a gorgeous fish pie with all sorts of fish and veg in it topped with mash yesterday for my birthday - one of my favourites but DH isn't that keen on fish pie - but endured it for my birthday LOL

I ALWAYS steam most of my veg too - whether it is frozen or fresh. I do have an electric steamer but I'm not that keen on using it as it always seems to take forever to cook anything - I'm car booting that one. I love to use the simple pan with two steamer parts on top - easy and only takes 20 minutes - potatoes in bottom with water (once I 'steamed' veg with no potatoes and NO water - still cooked them somehow LOL), get it boiling then put the other two parts with harder veg in the bottom part (like carrots) and softer veg in top part (like brocolli etc - I sometimes put two or three veg in each) then 15 minutes exactly - by this time the potatoes have had a bit longer so they are all ready together.

Apple crumble - my fav recipe is half white flour and half wholemeal and use demerara sugar in with the topping and on top - crunchy and gorgeous.

Timer has gone off in the kitchen - DH is making our weekly curry that he makes as we usually have it on Fridays - so two days in a row no cooking!

I hope you are enjoying your meal Climin.

  • Happy! Another fan of the Secret! Absolutely fantastic! I must watch my DVD again soon, too! PS, technically, for the law of attraction, you have already won the jackpot! ;)

I wish I knew what my friend was really thinking re the BR stuff, I've spent ages getting her unenforceable debt stuff sorted and had a first real breakthrough with Barclaycard. In fact, it looks like £6,000+ is unenforceable with £2,000+ payable. Still, it's more than the £600 BR fee. Am trying not to dwell much on it, I dreamt about DCAs etc last night and have been thinking/brooding about it almost non-stop since she said it. I have been very annoyed tbh. I chose to pay my debts which I ran up when I was ill. It is hard, I am scared for my future and that of my kids but I am taking control and responsibilty. Yes my friend has bi-polar but she needs to grow up now, I'm starting to lose patience and so are her parents.

Sunfleur - thank you for another top tip, I shall be taking my laptop to MILs tomorrow and have a good search thru that thread while everyone else works! hehe

Am off to bed now, I'll be back tomorrow with more to drone on about I'm sure! lol

  • Hi i did noty know you were a secret fan :).. i have the audio me and oh do listen together and use the attitude of gratitude we got into it a bit back then dwindled but when we really got into it changes started to happen little things like unexpected cheques or unexpected items that would create money etc etc not thousands but still it all adds up ..... i have a gratitude book i listen to t harv eker too hes more the financial side of things and makes real sense and when i practiced his work too i really made the difference to myself and my wealth :) .... its a recommend from me the audio anyway i havent read teh books... i have read abraham hicks ask and it is given thats a good book some stuff i dont totally agree on but some ideas really make sense if not to make you feel good or give you a better spin on things :)..... now in regards to the lottery :) i went on mike dooleys website and by chance someone said why havent i won the lottery i wish it bla bla bla...... what the answer was ... you are trying to find the how to your wish or ask .... it doesnt mean because you believe the lottery is yours that you should buy a massive amount of tickets just the one line and if its meant to be it will be... then it made sense i will keep putting the lottery on but remeber imtrying to do the universes job by supplying the how of the win ... does that make sense i feel like i just rambled myself into a box that said shut upppppp :) ... must dash off to pick up a electric fire that i won xxx

  • lol Happy, it all makes total sense! I remember starting to take down notes and quotes after the first few times I watched it, I'll try to dig them out! I got an old bank statement and wrote my balance as being thousands in credit lol wish I'd blue-tac'd it to the wall to look at daily!

There certainly are some controversial views/ideas expressed and I try to keep an open mind to when watching. Think I'll have to stick it on tonight and be inspired all over again!

And well done on that win! Perhaps tomorrow's post brings me the overdue apology from Lloyds, confirmation of overdue refund (promised in May) and default removal (incorrectly placed) eh?! ;)
