unless you already shouted them down and offered them a token amount of £1 each a month ... ;)

after the fiasco of trying to claim on the PPI and getting nowhere i basically told them to shove the 20-100 a month payments as i wasnt earning/claiming any benefits and sent them the "token" payments letter. 5 out of the 8 accepted at once, 1st credit wanted 500 a month i just laughed @ the phone call and have ignored them since, i cant remember the other 2 off the top of my head.

    Hi Stevieb1
Tracked you down...thanks to your post on the other thread.

Where did you get the token template letter from - is it posted on this site somewhere?

  • Well thanks everyone for the warm welcome, I'm gettin used to all the MSE stuff now and have to say what a great community to be a part of!

Have spent today going round in circles trying to sort out my Lloyds TSB current account and credit card and related charges, PPI and default notices. I am now officially dizzy!

How is everyone this week? ESO, I hope your assessment goes well, I'm sure it can be rather nerve-wracking! Have you 'subscribed' to any threads? There's an option to do so in 'thread options' or something similar up the top on the green bar.

I myself am at home at the mo, 7 months pregnant with baby number 2, a boy, and my 3 year old daughter. I'm really stressing about finances. My boyfriend and I want to move in together but with my debts and poor credit rating it seems I'm stuck in my rented flat for awhile!

I've wiped off 2 lots of unfair credit card charges so far (out of 3) but have so far been unsuccessful with bank charges. I also have 4 defaults on my credit rating, 3 of which I think stand a chance of being removed due to errors. One I am stuck with, I know, though I may attempt to have it removed later in the year if I offer to pay the debt in full.

I'm desperate to move on from my disastrous past and enjoy the future with my family. They are my absolute world and everything I've always wanted. I just hope all this hard work re debts pays off, I am feeling very swamped at the mo!

    :o

Ooo tea 2 sugars please! Any jammy dodgers? lol!

Hi happytogetdebtfree, I'll do my SOA now and explain all in that hopefully. I do find myself in a position currently to offer higher repayments to creditors, and my debt free date is about 3 years away now, instead of 6!

The evening? Well I've tried relaxing with a book for a bit but cannot concentrate. I hope you're having a good one? My 3 year old is still awake also so I can't go to bed until I know she's asleep. I'm making the most of the time to continue trying to sort out money.

    Watch this space... :)

Already I can see some changes I want to make within the next 3 months. I hate to see how much I owe, the catalogues are down to needing furniture for my flat, I couldn't get anything anywhere so went with catalogues, then let my ex manipulate me into screwing things up (not for the first time either!). My second child's due in 2 months with my OH, the most wonderful bloke in the world. We want to live together but cannot afford to do so because of the mess of my debts, defaults etc. I hate being on benefits and hope to get into work again a short while after this baby's born. Was looking end of last year and 1st few weeks of this year then discovered I was pregnant. I blame my OH lol he's in the Navy and only visits at weekends, or sometimes once every few months, and this was one of those times!!
I've got nothing else but I've got my family.
