Hello everyone, it has been a long time since I last posted, but the dub household is still hanging on, albeit by our fingertips most of the time. We are ok, both working and able to feed ourselves each month. We are still paying off the debt, my DMP payments have increased and the length of time to being debt free has gone down to 17years (from about 40 odd!!), as the payment has increased somewhat. Thats all great news, however beloved has finally had his lightbulb moment (slow burning) regarding his credit cards debt and is now wondering what the best way is to pay off these. We are unsure whether to just try to pay off as much as possible each month, or think about him going down the dmp route. Is there anyway of getting the interest frozen if you are not on a dmp? I would be grateful for any suggestions x

Hi Dubgirl, no harm in ringing the cc companies up and seeing if they will freeze the interest but I think they will only do it if you are on a dmp. Any chance you can shuffle so they are LOB or a lower interest rate?
