Well done you :T:T:T:T congrats on getting rid of the first & good luck with the next ones.

BTW, the other day I was feeling a little fed up & for some reason went back to my first posts on MSE ....in 2006. Now I haven't worked out yet how much has been paid off the debts - we had a couple of years in between where we had to 'tread water' since we were only getting in enough money from the business to pay the min pmts. BUT I could see just how far I actually have come since then in my savvy-ness. So, if you have been on here for a long time, I can recommend looking back!

    Hi Everyone.

I have just been reading through the thread and always admire how everyone keeps each other going on this site.

I used to visit using another user name, occasionally posting but more often than not just lurking. I haven't been on properly for about 18 months. For some reason I decided I liked to have my head in the sand and that is where it stayed - facing the debts was too much for a while.

In the past year my life changed dramatically. I met someone wonderful (I was a confirmed single girl - had given up), got engaged and also got a new job which I love, but pays much less. Sometimes you have to take a hit to be happy. The thing is I still have the debts, but am slowly paying them off through a DMP, but I need a kick up the **** to keep me motivated. I have told my partner but he is one of those annoying people who are good with money - what a smart ****. The thing is he doesn't fully understand and I feel like it would be good to have the support from some folks who do.

Sorry for rambling. What I wanted to say is can I become a long hauler please as I still have £29.545 to go.

    Best wishes

Good luck parsnip, just keep popping on here for support, when someone posts we all pop back on to support even when it's been quiet for a while.

It's usually very motivating for us when some one makes a change at whatever level or change even tiny small ones.

I have found this thread a massive help and I am in for the long haul too. When I feel down and fedup (a la name!) it can help me see I am not on my own.

When others share their ideas it is helpful too!

Take care now Parsnip you sound like you have a great understanding OH too x

    Thanks Fedupandskint

It is a help just to know that there are so many non-judgemental folks out there to support each other.

I am lucky, my partner is wonderful and offers to help all the time, but this is my problem which I need to sort myself, just for my own sanity and self worth.

    Many thanks for the support.
