Hello and welcome back TEK - Glad to hear the debt busting and wedding plans are going to plan.
Im hitting a brick wall at the moment, struggling not to overspend and find ways of raising income, Blasted foot/leg has a lot to answer for :mad: Doesnt help that OH has had control of my bankcard recently. I keep forgeting what I spend because I have to send him out...
I think I try to behave on the spending and leave the rest until after hols at the beginning of July. Should preety much be back to normal so can do car boots. Also will know if I can save some of the holiday spending money. Budgetted hih so hoping its more than needed esp as going Half Board.:jMay 2013 new beginnings:j0 -

Morning all! Thanks for all your kind replies. ISOM thanks for advice regarding MBNA card & I was originally looking at getting a low LOB card. However now that we've been accepted for a 0% deal we may aswell have 13 months of paying no interest & then look at trying for a low LOB card. It is a good job that we have got our eyes back on the ball as we have actually added £1,000 to our debts since the end of January, so if we had carried on as we were the debts would have started to spiral out of control.

. Edited sig & when I try to save it it says there are no subscribed threads. Basically since LBM in JUly 07 we have paid off £1736.01 which works out at an average of £75.47 paid off. Put this figure into snowball calculator & DFD will be May 2109 if we only pay this amount off each month:eek:! Thanks for reading folks, back soon!! TEK the 8% is with mbna so may be worth asking them if you can have that deal instead? Just depends on how quickly you can pay off and how much is on there...I just found that I did loads of 0% but the bt fees kept adding up so as I'm longhauler thought lob more realistic!

No HTBDF it is 2109! Instead of putting into the snowball calculator how much we are paying towards debts I am putting in the average amount per month that we are actually clearing so in theory we try to up the average each month IYKWIM. I guess we really are at the bottom of the mountain at the moment but hopefully we can start upping the average if we keep control of our finances. ISOM I will have to work out whether minimum payments on 8% APR works out cheaper than BT fee of 2.5%! Thanks for your comments folks!Happytogetdebtfree wrote: »I hope you mean 2019 ?
