Thank you. It's actually Paulgonnabedebtfree. I thought it sounded more positive than Paulwannabedebtfree.

poor you ltm! Have you got some time off over Christmas to chill? A good couple of no spend days here and only 2 presents yet to get...havent even thought about food shopping etc and its lovely to be chilled about it all and watch others run around like headless chickens!
Thanks ISOM, but please don't feel sorry for me/us! There are alot of people worse off than ourselves, but it just does sometimes get frustrating being on this DFW treadmill & it's a great place to get things off your chest with so many people who understand where you're coming from! But I guess not making much progress is alot better than sinking further & further into debt & without Martin & you good people, heaven knows how much debt we would be in now. There are some pluses, i.e. our mortgage payments have gone down by around £150 over the last few months & we have £500 saved up for wedding on top of the £350 already paid off(I know many of you will be screaming at us to use this money to pay off debts, but we do like to keep this seperate to see just how much we have saved towards wedding IYKWIM). Being a postie I don't get much time off at Xmas but my rotating days off fall just nicely, which means I have the Saturday & Monday after Xmas off, so will have 5 days off in a row. No doubt the gaffer will ask me to work them, but I am going to take them off, after getting up between 2 am & 5 am 7 days a week in December, I am really looking forward to a bit of time off! Hope yourself & all the other long haulers are all well! All the best!!

  • Not feeling sorry for ya ltm...just know how hard it is with all that plodding!! Christmas time even more problemati as so much more to spend! Happily have done my christmas pressies for 100 but made most of them! Chuffed with myself though! Just 2 presents to get and food shopping, wrapping, decorate tree and I'm done!

  • threading water over xmas is ok----im suspending debt repayment over xmas an newyear and using money for xmas---instead of getting into new debt.

Hello everyone and welcome to any new faces. Well cant believe that it is only 2 more days and we are there. Kinda looking forward to it as it is the first Christmas that DS is really appreciating and understanding what it is all about. Only got to get a couple more pressies and bought all of them with cash so no extra debt. ISOM and LTM hope you are both ok. Things are still the same on the debt front, as usual as extra we get invariably ends up going on the car, house etc, but we are happy. Wishing everyone a lovely Xmas and peaceful New Year. Take care everyone and PMA!
