hi folks I haven't been around much recently as I fell off the wagon and have been feeling too guilty to come and post. I havent done too much damage but have managed to add at least 2 months to my DFD. Been glad to see I'm not alone mind you even though I want to see you all doing well. Hopefully I will manage to get my butt in gear again and sort this out. xx5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.000 -
Thanks Dubgirl. Hopefully the oil leaks in yours are just a small fix. Do you find its nervewracking selling and buying cars? Its the first time we have sold a car. I am trying to be calm but my OH is worrying and passing it on to me! The cavalier (the replacement car we have brought) needs around £300 min but overall we should still save money as long as the engine doesnt go!!
Some good news I get my new company car today, brand new car that will cost just £40 a month and will be cheaper than the tax I pay for my hire car (have to have a work car for the mileage I do) so not all bad news. I am away for the next few days so I will have to try not to spend out of boredom.
PS yes we do need 2 cars as OH needs a run around for him and the kids while I am at work. Would love not to have to run one as its darn expensive.:j0 -
MIT
Glad to see you back everyone struggles once in a while.:j0 -
Well, we cant do anything about the car just bought as we dont have any money to buy the parts, but at least OH is capable and able of doing the repairs rather than a garage, just hoping that the Saab sells buy the weekend, otherwise dont know what we will do. Hope you all have a lovely day.0

Hi everyone, I had to share some good news. got home from work and OH told me that he has got a job ! Yippee! he has been a house husband since last June looking after our little boy, as we couldnt afford childcare, however recently decided to go back to full-time work. His job is a lot more money than before and he will be happier. So pleased for him.0

wouldn't worry too much about the blips....i've had nothing but since my lbm!!!:o
Put £4 in my mortgage pig today...day three of not smoking so thats where the money came from..:T ..haven't used any method other than stop putting them in my mouth and lighting them!!!
Oil ran out today....got 500l 6 weeks ago and paid £250...same amount today costs me £300!!! i am starting to feel like the entire universe is against me!!! honestly, trying to budget when increases are happening so fast and being so huge is really difficult!!
I have been really good and wrote a menu plan for the next twelve weeks so that i can really get control of my food budget and have changed my electricity supplier to try to cut down that expense.
sometimes this seems like the journey will last forever...i am realising how important it is to celebrate the little steps on the way that we manage to acheive every day....so to everyone else on the boards  well done and thank you for all your support!0
