  • oh and as for a budget for last week it was so truly awfully over I am ashamed to even post. I'm not even sure I know how much over I was. I will start afresh this week.

  • Well my NSD is now gone out the window ... £8.00 on getting the car cleaned

some kids came round and asked if they could clean the car ... felt they were being very enterprising so said yes (£5.00 plus I gave them an extra £3.00)

    Hi Pap:hello:

Like the others have said -I'm sure none of this was done intentionally. The regulars here will have been aware of this as Moozie's thread - then taken on by you. Newbies may not be aware of this & that it's usually you who starts the thread - perhaps they just felt they were being helpful. There are other regular daily threads (on Old Style for example) that are started by the one who's online earliest - perhaps Arthur felt that this was one of those threads?

Anyway...try not to let it get you down hun...we all love ya & want you to keep this going!!!!!

Having said that, I didn't get round to posting a target last week  but will say £25 for the coming week...kids are on half term, so it'll be a challenge!!!!!

  • Hi guys, I have a few thoughts.

Firstly, I have never read the Moozies weekly challenge thread, but now I have I think its a fabulous idea and would love to get involved. Could anyone take 2 minutes to quickly post up here what I do - do I just make a pledge for spends or what? Sorry if I'm being thick...

The daily threads on this board are fantastic, I find it a great help posting my daily spends up here and get lots of inspiration, encouragement and laughs from reading everyone elses.

I have noticed that certain threads are always started by the same people so personally wouldn't think to start them myself as I assume it is that person's 'special' thread...

However, I'm sure anyone who has started it on PaP's behalf means no harm and is simply trying to help. I think there is a lot of enthusiasm of this board which is fab.

  • Right I have been home around an hour now and I have written and rewritten this post about 9 times. Firstly sorry to everyone, everything had been building and building and my anger finally was unleashed on you. I am sorry I didn’t mean it.

With regards to the daily thread, I am not all to bothered but I thank Arthur for sending me a pm and mentioning it on the thread. It think rog summed this up for me ~

PaP is a 'special' poster, she's been through a lot, and she LOVES DFW - in fact it is a MAJOR part of her life - she, by her own admission, does not consider herself competent enough to give advice, but 'hosting' the Daily Spends Thread has really given her a sense of belonging.

Taking part/running moozies challenge and the daily thread meant I was part of/accepted on the dfw forum. You may not understand what that means but due to my upbringing and my life so far I put myself down and I need to feel like I am accepted/needed before I contribute or do anything. This for me was what this thread/s mean to me. I will carry them on, and thanks to all those who have asked me to do so. They are an integral part of dfw and taking them away would be a bad step. Now I will try my best but because of my working patterns its not always started/moozies challenge started on a certain day/time, but its not been forgotten and I shall do it as soon as I can get online. Thanks to all of you who start it when I cant, it really helps… after all if I am not earning how can I spend. Arthur please start this thread if I haven’t by 10am, feel free anyone can, and its nice to see you all do as you see a slight difference in the way its ran… after all having the same poster can get a bit monotonous.

My outpouring/depression. It wasn’t fair on any of you especially fac. It wasn’t aimed at anyone but I needed to get it out and at that time my anger/loneliness’ was at its peak. I am sorry it wasn’t called for on a forum this supportive/loving but I guess its done me some good. I believe I haven’t been ‘right’ for a very long time and everyone can see and everyone comments on it but I guess its like anything you cant change over night… I am however changing slowly but as you can imagine if you get yourself so low that you think your life’s not worth living it’s a hell of a climb back up. I shall do it though ~ slowly I will get there. I just hope that this hasn’t severed any friendships/bonds on mse, especially those I look up to and if I have caused offence to anyone I hope I am forgiven. I wasn’t going to return tonight because I was embarrassed/ashamed/scared of what will happen however I know if I do have this forum I would carry on getting worse and worse ~if you will still have me I would love to be part of your family still, I am not saying I will be more outgoing/posting more but I will be here ~ just check your thanks…

Thanks again for being the lovely people you are. t1zcheekkiss.gif

Hey pap, what a lovely post. You know, both you and Arthur really are wonderful people. I've got to know him today and I'm very pleased I have. But Pap, there isn't anything for you to apologise for, friendship is about listening to each other when we're down and doing what we can to help, as well as sharing the laughs. I'm happy you trust us enough to tell us how you feel about things, after all, nothing changes if we just bottle it all up.

Of course you're welcome here silly, you are one of the backbones of MSE and this place would be a sorry place without you. So, big smiles, because all you have done is given us a chance to let you know how important you are to our daily lives.

hi chloe, your not thick at all. You dont know if you dont ask so well done. Yes basically put on this thread you pledge for the week, the week runs sunday~friday (inclusive) unless you state otherwise... so say you tell me £10 for the week that would have been 21st ~ 26th october. Then on the following sat/sunday whenever i post this thread again tell me what you came in at and i change my op to red/green depending on what you spent. Obviously its only a little bit of fun but it does stop you spending believe me :) Look forward to you joining in :D
