  • Sorry, can't keep quiet, don't like where this is going - I'd love to see Pap starting the thread but feel that not posting on it when started by someone else is cliquey and unkind. Arthur probably hasn't even seen this thread and what has he actually done wrong - feel a bit sorry for him, it is as though he is unwelcome and I don't like that.

I'm sure that's not the intention - but if I were him and I read this - think I'd log off and find another forum where you didn't have to be one of the cool kids to be welcome.

But I'm not one of the cool kids anyway so who am I to have an opinion :p

Hi again pap - I too am sorry you're unhappy at the way the daily thread has gone.

Perhaps we should all only post on it if it's started by you - unless it gets really late in the day? Why don't you politely point out the points you made in post 2 of this thread to ar******ck on today's daily thread (started by him)?

no, this wasnt the point. I dont want arthur to feel left out. There are no problems with his post and him or any newbie starting it but its just starting them every day at 5am i thinks a bit off. I love to see different people starting it if it be rog/bobbadog/sf/fac but the point i am unltimetly making is that no one else has been given the chance.
  • Hi Pap and all other challengees - £32 this week, so a definate red and must do better!

totally agree and this is not where this thread was supposed to end up. Ok a bit of owning up from me, yes i havent posted/thanks any of thr threads made by him or anyone within the threads ~ why because i didnt want to post on them because i was having a bad week, nothing to do him/the threads/with this forum or whatever. The whole point in post 2 was mearly to voice my opinion not to cause friction, not to hurt anyone but purely because it was making me worse and worse. Look at the amount of posts i have made in the last few weeks and look at the threads i have stuck to... because i am cliquey? NO because i feel safe in those threads... the last advice i gave to a newbie on the dfw was flamed... why because i didnt add one sentance... one sentance and i was shot down... one sentance and i was ignored by the op. Since then i have given no advice, yes i am not a trained finance person but i feel that what i give to this place is worth it or i wont post.

This place is my lifeline, no one relises that i have no friends on the outside world, people cross the street to get away from me... do you actually know what that feels like, to be 21 and have no social life, no people you can actually call your true friends. Thats you have to sit at a desk in front of a pc everynight because no one really cares. That when you tell someone your 'friend' has had a baby its actually someone on here you dont know from your next door neighbour. Try living a life like that and see how long you last before you crack before you wanna jump infront of that train, before you wanna end it all as its easier... I tell you no one can tell what a person feels on the inside ~ and its a shame as then people maybe more caring/understanding.

I am sorry but this is my last atempt at moozies thread, when/if she returns i shall explain to her why i stopped it and why i felt the need to... in the mean time anyone can take it over i dont really care anymore...
  • Oh pap I hope you haven't misunderstood me, I was not implying that you are cliquey - or anyone in particular - just that it would be to ignore someone - and I knew you would agree.

You're highly respected here, there is no doubt about that, and it's your kindness and responses that have made me want to be part of DFW more and more.

I'm not going to go on because this obviously runs a bit deeper than this - please don't stop accepting PMs but give me some time :grouphug:

I'm sorry you feel that way - there was NEVER any intention to make ad feel unwelcome, niether by PaP or by me.
ALL Newbies are welcome - we were all Newbies once ourselves, and MUCH of the good advice on this forum is brought to it by 'Newbies'.
I certainly hope arthur wouldn't feel bad if he reads this thread - the only message that I have for him would be to keep posting, but in the same spirit as Moozie, who originally started the thread. PaP has encaptured that spirit, and I'm sure so will arthur - all he needs is a bit of experience in DFW.
It's not about being 'cool' and I certainly respect your, and everybody's, right to have, and to voice, an opinion - and that includes PaP and even me.
The spending thread brings people, who might not otherwise post on the same threads, together - let's please not spoil that.

  • First day and I've spent £5.68 already on posting a parcel.
I did also rush into town to buy my copy of TMNT (out today!:D) in Virgin. I was given a £10 Virgin card last xmas from my gran and was expecting to pay the remaining £3. But the card was for £15! So nothing spent there!
