Hiya,
Today I'm aiming for a NSD ....:j :j
xx0 -
My kids are away for the week, so it is just me and OH in the house.
Therefore, I am going to try for £10 this week.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Pap, the people her love you for the person you are, for what's inside (that's the important stuff). If people you physically know haven't taken the time to get to know you then they are missing out, a huge amount. You have to start believing in yourself and start seeing what we see, then you will be able to say @rseholes to the people who don't want to know you (I have plenty of those
) and the confidence to speak to the people who do see the Pap-ness we all know and care for a great deal.
And yes, maybe we are virtual friends, but that doens't make our opinion or friendship any less valid. We are all real people behind these keyboards and the only difference is that we got to know you because you felt comfortable enough to open up and show us the real Pap.:A

Very well said, Toto. :T :TI am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

Hi PaP - I hope you are well, and trying not to let the events of the weekend drag you down. I certainly can not add to the comments of Toto - your presence would be sorely missed by ALL of your friends, here.
On the spending front - I am going to try to keep under £30.00 this week.
It will be a NSD today, as I'm not going out of the house.
I have an interview at ASDA tomorrow, and have just received a phone call from a Company that I applied for, as a UK Sales Manager, who are going to confirm an interview, hopefully for Friday.
I also have my interview for the Royal Mail Christmas Casual Work, next Monday, so, hopefully things are going to start to look up.
Just off to update my signature (as Moozie would say).I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Good luck with the interviews Rog, I'll have the appropriate bits crossed for you.
Spending this week... well, it depends. Obviously I'm aiming for £0 on nonsense. But, I might buy some boots and coats for the kids, we're going to canada at christmas to stay with the inlaws so they need warm stuff. I'm keeping my eye on ebay for a decent price. I also might buy a new dining room table and chairs which I've been saving for, if I find one I like.
So, aside from boots coats groceries and the dining room, I'm going to aim for £30 which should cover a bit of postage I need and the etc stuff which always seems to get bought.:A

Sorry you're feeling down pap
, hope you feel better soon.
I spent £38.77 from my weekly budget so passed my weekly target. I'll aim for £30 for this week as i'm off work x0 -
Only just read this. I'm sorry Pap someone possibly Arthurdick did say once that he hoped the usual daily post starters wouldn't mind if someone else started it and I did say I thought they wouldn't so maybe I am partly responsible and if so I'm terribly sorry. Since I am never on here early I had definitely not noticed that posts were starting early. I'm sure he doesn't/didn't mean to take over posting every day and if he realised how you felt I'm sure he would hand the reins back so to speak since it means a lot to you.
I really hope you feel better soon. I will post this thread in the daily thread otherwise we will have a bit of bad feeling floating around which could get out of hand where I'm sure nobody intended that.MFi3 member 105 - MFW date Oct 2023 - 12 years 9 months more0 -
Actually I'm sure he will see all the requests for you to PM him. A link to this thread is probably unnecessarily.MFi3 member 105 - MFW date Oct 2023 - 12 years 9 months more0

Hello Pap,
I'd just like to say I'm sorry that you are not feeling on top form at the moment, but I am a very selfish person, and from a purely selfish point of view have to say please do not give up with the weekly challenge threads.
They help me so much - and your advice and the way you run the thread is as much a part of that help as the actual reporting of my spends.
So for those of us that couldn't cope without it - please keep doing it.
Can something not be posted on a daily thread to let Arthurdick know that the daily threads are really part of the weekly challenge and that to leave it til 10am before starting them, if PaP hasn't done so ?[STRIKE]DFW Nerd number 729[/STRIKE]Debt Free & Proud0
