As soon as I saw your post title I thought GOOD LUCK.

I've 2 cats. They're older now, but when they were young and playful the only thing that stopped them attacking the tree was to make sure they couldn't get into the room unless we were there.

    good pics tankgirl1.
    Looking forward to the future.
  • I had to make a choice when I got two kittens years ago. I still wanted my tree, but decided that my extremely old antique glass baubles needed to be safe. It meant a few years of using 'sacrificial baubles' - like those wrapped up with real fine silk. Do you know how many meters of silk are on those bl**dy things? Once a kitten has knocked it off the tree, chased it around the room etc these fine silken threads are strong enough to trip you up so that you drop whatever you are carrying onto the floor........ Still, nice to see the kittens up a tree!

Now, my cat is very elderly, and although pats the bottom baubles doesn't seem able to climb up any more. Antique baubles back out!

Worth it to see the cat enjoy it though, honestly!
