Thank you both!
Boiler service done, and miraculously it's running perfectly, and apparently at 97.1% efficiency 😮 Turns out there's no emergency shut off on the LPG tank in the field, but as there IS one where the gas enters the house (which is much easier to get to than the field) that's fine. The tank belongs to the supplier - I might get round to mentioning it at some point, but it's not high up my list of priorities...
In more exciting news, I have just cooked tea in the new kitchen for the first time!! You have no idea how exciting it is to just stand at a worktop and chop veg 😂😂 like with the washing up, I'm pretty sure the novelty will wear off 😂😂7 -
Great news on all counts Cheery 😁 Life will feel a lot easier from here on in.

Hope so, it's about blinkin time! 🙄😂
All lightbulbs now installed in the study, and we've measured the height that the plinths need to be. We can see what they've done - the floor slopes, and they've raised the height of the adjustable cupboard legs at one end to make the work surface level, but clearly not clocked that that means the gap at the bottom will be wider, so the plinth needs to be wider to fill it 🙄 And I never thought in advance because I confess I didn't realise just how slopy the floor was...🙄
Just nipped out for a jaunt to collect a parcel from the magic lockers, and goodness me it's wet out there! 😮😮 Got up onto the high road and it had turned to snow and was starting to stick 🙄
Much prefer living here in the summer 🙄😂😂7 -
Great news about the kitchen! The Odd socks switch also made me chuckle 😂8

And hasn't it been gloomy recently. I had to stop myself from closing the curtains the other day when I realised it was only just after 2pm!!
