Cheery, that sounds an unpleasant way to end the last day before your hollibobs! I hope you have been able to relax and turn your mind to other things.
It's not difficult! 'Wander' - to walk or move in a leisurely manner. 'Wonder' - to feel curious.
Thanks hb - I'm trying to clear what will become our new bedroom - it's a grim combination of old clothes, currently unused bedding, and mouse droppings at the minute 😮🙄😂

Waah! to the mouse droppings! But otherwise, I'm in total favour of beginning holidays with some proper relaxation, holidays have to *feed* you as well as excite you and let you get extra things done. So getting away for Mr Cheery's birthday will be a big plus too.

Hey Cherry, so sorry I haven’t posted for the longest time. I’ve fallen behind with the diaries and I’m only on page 380. So just catching up. I forgot how much I loved your diary and how cherry it is 😁.
Love a good mouser! We have a beautiful wandering ginger Tom who makes it his days work to terrify the wild rabbits up the hill, and find barn rats to square off with! He makes quite a racquet in the barn when he finds one.
The other day he proudly sat at my front gate with a white mouse clamped in his jaws & all I could do was to silently pray it was dead and that he didn't gift it to me on the doorstep.
4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)
(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)
Thanks for all your cat offers 😂 Knowing my luck I'd end up with one that brought in more live mice than it removed 😂
Hi missy! I confess I'm a bit behind too, oh dear!
Weird old day today. Both rather grumpy so it's been a day of staying out of each others way... 🙄 However our friends have turned up in their van, and have gone to collect the four poster bed we couldn't fit in our car last week. Fingers crossed it fits in the bloody van - I measured it so it will all be my fault if it doesn't 🙄😮😮
I have wisely stayed behind to prepare food (and have half an hour of peace and quiet)...
Certainly will! Bedroom is part of the building project (it currently has no electric and a massive hole straight through to the roof insulation) so it won't be for a while yet.... but it's exciting!
Anyway, the bed is here and safely stored in the garage, hooray! The paint is flaking off so we'll need to do a minor bit of restoration... and we won't be keeping the mattress so we'll need to replace that. Will need to decide whether to use our existing one and buy a cheap replacement for the spare room, or whether it's time to replace ours (which is several years older than our 16 year relationship so it's about time 🙄 ).
Not a decision for tonight though. The only decision I'm making tonight is whether to have tea or hot chocolate 😂
