Another vote for a new mattress. I put off replacing mine for far too long and the difference was phenomenal.7

Glad that the bed has now arrived Cheery. I would vote for a new mattress too. It's not difficult!

I did go for hot chocolate 😁
We'll see on the mattress. The last one was apparently rather expensive, Mr Cheery has back issues, and aside from cosmetics we don't really have any problems with this one (cosmetically it's in a right state with all the fabric ripped etc 😮 ). We'll see. It may well come down to finances and how much we feel comfortable spending once the kitchen is done!7 -
Well we are having a very up and down couple of days. Painted the dining room ceiling, a craft project for Mr Cheery's birthday is going well, had a bit of sunshine and an unexpected visit from a friend. But Mr Cheery's tooth fell out so yet another emergency trip to the dentist, Bessie chicken is looking a bit rough so yet another trip to the vets tomorrow, and I am currently sat in a layby trying to stop feeling sorry for myself so I don't start another argument when I get home 🙄
Might just go straight to bed when I get in! Except I can't, because I have to finish this ridiculous birthday craft project (not long to go, but as always, I wish I'd started it sooner).
Yawn.5 -
Oh, and I have just had a very annoying experience. I was in a local town and feeling very much in need of a sit down and a cuppa before going home.
Checked both of the big supermarkets, both cafes open til 6 (it was 4.50 so everywhere else shutting). Picked one, drove through the traffic, got to the cafe - it shut at 5 😡 Not explanation, just 'we shut at 5 now'. Rang the other one - could only get through to the switchboard, but yes they're definitely open til 6. Drove through the traffic again, got there at 5.20... and they're shut - this time because they don't have any water 🙄
Tried to go and sit in a scenic layby but not been there for years, had to choose at a fork in the road, and picked the wrong fork - it shot me back out on the main road to my own house 😡 So I've driven past the house to a different layby and will stay here until I've damn well cheered up a bit!
In boring financial news - spent a bit on the cashback credit card - need to check i absolutely did set up a direct debit to pay it off in full every month, I THINK I did. Also need to check cashback amount - I think I don't get any until w. hit a certain level of spending in the first 3 months, but I don't know what the level is, or when the 3 month period runs out 🙄
And the LPG supplier sent a letter saying LPG is going up 5p a litre 🙄 Doesn't say what from or to, so I'll need to check online - I've been meaning to switch anyway so this might be my incentive.7 -
Hope you managed to calm down quiet cuppa in order I think xxxx4
