Cheery's country living adventure

@Cheery_Daff I found that both fascinating and helpful. It made me evaluate various options for our kitchen if we ever get one! OH would like to build it himself, I believe he has the necessary skills and is capable of making it to a very high standard as well as understanding the foibles of our kitchen. What he is conveniently forgetting is he works full time, is chronically ill, has a tendency to start projects and not finish them 😏Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

BB, glad it was helpful! Mr Cheery was going to build our kitchen... and may well have done had it not also required a new wall, tanking, plumbing, electrics, ceiling etc, and then lockdown happened and he got ill and I got busy... 🙄 It's a pain getting builders in but there is actually the prospect of a kitchen at the end now we're not trying to do it ourselves!6 -
That's quite an analytical and logical brain, and process, you have there Cheery5

Ha, well, let's see if it works out! Mr Cheery doesn't share my logic and may possibly keep adding in extra options or changing parameters up until the builders leave, but at least this made me feel like I didn't have options like marbles, scattering all over the place!
Old car retrieved from the garage, having had a service, new wheelbearings, some new lights, and all new non-locking wheel nuts because the garage couldn't find the locking wheelnut (goodness knows where that went, it was in the car last week). Does anyone even steal wheels any more? Is that a thing? Hope not 😂😂 can't imagine they'd want mine anyway 😂
Booked back in for 13th to have the anti roll bar brushes replaced, apparently. New car is going in next week for service and check up.
I've finally made it to our work event, ad there are biscuits and pastries galore 😮 I so very much need to do something about my eating but I don't think this catered week is the time to do it! 😂
Happy new month! I do like the start of a month 😁8 -
I have no idea if stealing wheels is still a thing and a lot of the time your cars are at home which doesn't have masses of strangers in the vicinity not like living in a heaving metropolis.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Indeed. The garage left the key on the wheel this morning so we could pick it up while they nipped out 😂4

Mr hb's car is currently sitting at the garage awaiting attention. It broke down a while ago and the 'gearbox specialists' couldn't look at it for more than 2 weeks. When they did take a look they realised that they can't deal with his semi-auto gearbox, so we now have to wait a further 3 weeks until the 'specialist specialists' can take a look. I've lost track of how long they have had it for now, am hoping that this is the third week. Of course, it wouldn't have mattered as much a few months ago but we are both starting to be out and about more now. It's not difficult!

Gosh hb, that sounds like a right old faff!! I'm hoping our old cars are a bit more straightforward 😮 Apparently the old car now feels like a new one after a service and new wheelbearings. I'm hoping they can effect a similar transformation on the new one! 😁
Mr Cheery has put the final wall frame on the new chicken run today, most exciting! I'll attach the mesh at the weekend, and in the meantime he'll sort out a door. It won't be predator proof until the roof is on, but in the meantime it's always good to have a kind of intermediate zone to keep the chickens under control without fully shutting them in while we're doing stuff in the garden.
Not much else to report today. Needless to day Agent million didn't call 🙄 and we didn't win anything over £5k - will have to wait til tomorrow to see if we've won anything.
Builder emailed saying he'll need to do another site visit to see if moving the sink is possible... so both him and the new kitchen people will have to come out next week.
Not thinking about anything else tonight now though9 -
Oooh, won another £75 on the premium bonds! We've won something every month since we've had them - I'll be so cross if we don't win anything one month! 😮😂😂8

That's a nice win, CD, I got £25, haven't check MrChigle's winnings yet.
