Cheery's country living adventure

Ooh, and in all the excitement I forgot - we won £25 on the premium bonds! 😂 Slightly less than the required million, but better than nothing 😂
Next lot of covid study vouchers have arrived too, so once I've sorted and printed them I'll add them to the pot.
Colleagues IT issue has thankfully been sorted (nothing that I did!)
Chickens are roaming free, and I've put some washing on since it looks like we might be able to hang it out later.
Right, best get on.8 -
Congratulations on your win, another little addition to the kitchen fund?
The weather is bright and beautiful here as well, I am also putting on some laundry to make the most of it.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Lovely to hear of your win Cheery! You will be most probably be sensible with the winnings & put it straight into the kitchen fund - but a little cake & tea never hurt!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Definitely going into the kitchen fund. Our normal tea and cake fund is well stocked anyway!
Completely forgot about the washing. Had assessed presentations so far all day, and at lunchtime i spotted a FOX out if the bathroom window 😮😮😮😮😮 Broad daylight - aarrrrggghhh! I screamed at it and it ran off, and then Mr Cheery ran off down the field being menacing, and I shut the chickens in the run (it wasn't near them, but still too close for comfort).
We're really cautious about only letting them out in broad daylight, but it seems that's not good enough. Nothing we can do really, but still, quite shocking.6 -
Yikes ... you're so isolated there, aren't you
there aren't many humans disturbing the four footed ones
Did the chickens catch a fox-smell? Hope they're not stressed. Is it an old wives tale that if a bloke pees around the garden a fox won't go near? I've no idea where to read about it that I'd trust, but I've heard it mentioned

Yes we've heard that, and Mr Cheery does pee all round the chicken run itself 😂 But normally they free range, and we have no enclosed garden really, just space and fields and dry stone walls 🙄 Not sure what we'll do, I guess the risk was always there, just feels different when it's waved in your face!
They will stay safe in the run today - jt appears to have started snowing anyway - I'm pretty sure it was sunny last time I looked up from the computer 😮6 -

Got to be worth a try - it's not like it's a scarce resource! I've suggested that Mr Cheery collect his throughout the day/night to distribute in appropriate places 😁7
