That sounds like a lovely day so far BB!
I can't say as I'm enjoying what I'm doing today - it's both tedious and difficult 🙄 However, it's also necessary, and it's probably better to be doing it on a day when I'm also not trying to juggle emails etc... 🙄 Was hoping to be finished by now but clearly I'm going to be carrying on for a while...6 -
Funny old day! Kind of felt a bit like a weekend, but I was working, so it felt like a Monday. Except I didn't open email at all, so it didn't feel like I was at work. We sneaked out to a cafe at 10am (they have a big awning 😂 ), and then to a couple of charity shops when we were both sick of what we were doing at 3.30, so it felt like a weekend again. But then I ended up working til 7.30 so it felt like a week day!
It's this blinking weather, all howling gales and battering rain, I don't like it, it feels all wrong. Glad I decided to work though, I did get done what I needed to (eventually) and I can take a day off when the sun is shining!8 -
Totally agree about the weather Cheery, it’s not right and it’s definitely vexing (to use a Cheery term). It should be the time of year for outside jobs, not being forced inside!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Make sure your number is up to date! (Not that it will help me - I'm definitely not on that list of big winners anyway, pah!)
Still windy and vile here, although at least it's stopped raining. Didn't even let the chickens out of their run today - they spent literally all of yesterday huddled in the porch, and at least their run is much bigger!6 -
Oh wow, the list! I got very excited the first time I saw the name of my county, but none of the entries refer to me
Pretty windy here too, though I still went out to walk on the NT-owned fields around a NT property - and saw 4 deer, leaping over a fence out of a wood like they were being hunted, but then they leapt right back again, when they realised how exposed the field was to the wind! And the bees had disappeared too - it was blowing straight at them, they must have been moved somewhere safer.
Hope you're nice and warm, Cheery2023: the year I get to buy a car5 -
Glad you got ou for a walk KC! We didn't in the end - the weather was just too vile, and then a friend in Germany reminded us we're arranged to have a video chat this evening so we did that instead 😁 Nice and warm and cosy!
We did nip out to the cafe at lunchtime, but of course we couldn't sit inside, or outside, so sat in the car, facing the bird feeder, most jolly. They didn't have any flapjack, so I ended up having a panini - extravagant at £6.50 but very nice, and it came with a nice salad which I brought home and had with my tea, so not tooooooo bad.
Nowt else financial to report I don't think. Plants all tucked up cosy under their fleece - I have high hopes for a decent harvest this year! Still not done YNAB this month yet. But I did do a couple of Prolific studies earlier, up to about £6 in there now when it's cashed so will aim to get to £10 by the end of the week.7 -
Morning chums!
The sun is shining! Goodness me. The chickens will be pleased.
I have been unintentionally productive this morning - a colleague is in India and locked out of part of her IT account. I've not solved her problem but at least got her some info she needed, and will try ringing IT for her again when the main team arrives at 8.45...
And now I really must get dressed!6
