Instead of keeping the appointment and calling at the set time (which I had to clear in my calendar), he sent an e-mail after the fact asking if I was interested in advice, and if so to call him at the numbers provided. I shot back an e-mail, very polite but to the point, asking if I misunderstood the booked time and gave him 3 further times I was available, asking him to reply by end of day. I indicated that I would appreciated a conversation explaining what the benefit of using a broker would be.
Needless to say no reply - initial impressions are everything aren't they? Doesn't appear as if he's interested in the commission & I have no interest in time wasters so won't be chasing him. - LOL
Teapot! Hello, hope you're well.Cheery_Daff said:Had a text on my birthday saying I'd missed a Hermes delivery, and to reschedule. Since it was my birthday, (surely it was feasible that someone had sent me a present??) I did click the link, although it seemed a bit mad that they hadn't just left it in the porch, given where we live.
Link asked me for name and address, which was a bit suspicious - surely you should know that if asking me to reschedule delivery? Didn't fill it in as I was suspicious, but also busy, and wanted to investigate further.
Turns out it's a recognised scam, although in my case they didn't already have name and address, and didn't ask for money. Good job I didn't fill it in.
Bit disappointed it wasn't really a parcel though 😂so I deleted everything and blocked the number. Ha!
Have some extra cake for your birthday, though
And I really hope Agent Million contacts you this month2023: the year I get to buy a car7 -
Very cheeky trying to charge you for their own survey! 😮
We have had a visitor this afternoon, very exciting! And we were meant to be meeting someone else for pizza!! But one of them has hurt her leg, so they're staying home. We considered going over there for a takeaway... but it's an hour's drive (we were going to meet in the middle) and Mr Cheery is in pain with his neck. Oh dear! So they're staying home, we're going for lunch tomorrow instead, and we have stuck to the original plan tonight and come out for pizza on our own 😁
Been reading back from the start of my own diary 😮 Dangerous - now I've started it's hard to stop, and I'm only up to about page 53. Apparently I was talking about pensions a couple of years ago too 😂😂 Lots to think about.7 -
Well, doesn't it always happen that social events turn up all at the same time?!
We're off to visit our friends who we didn't meet last night, but someone else texted to see if they could come out here to see us. I tried valiantly to fit everyone in, but the timings were just all wrong, so we're sticking to our original plan and will see our other pals another day.
I've been out scything and raking in the sunshine, and the chickens are being a menace in the house, but I don't want to give them treats as I need to bribe them back into their run in about half an hour and they'll be more compliant if they're not already full of treats...
Happy Wheel is looking better today - £72 in total today, bringing May's total to £28. Amazing how it can turn round so quickly.
Right, best get these chickens out of the house...9 -
What a shame about the no-can-do socialising - at least you'll see them another day. Chickens are sounding full of beans
Have a lovely time!2023: the year I get to buy a car8 -
What it is to be popular 😊
The sun has disappeared here and it is now significantly darker inside, we are needing to put the lights on, we have had a few heavy showers and more are predicted this afternoon. I hope the weather is better for you or you are hardier than us.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Not sure the weather was much better, but at least the rain did mostly hold off! It was a little breezy at times, and cold... we did manage almost four hours though 😮
I've decided to work today - have a specific piece of work I'd like to get done and will stop when that's finished (and take my bank holiday day (a) when my big deadline is met and (b) when the sun is shining ) 😂 Best get on!6 -
We debated moving our bank holiday, but the children's training they do on Monday's is having the day off so we are having ours today. Lessons and work cancelled, we have played a family table tennis tournament and baked some cake. This evening we are going to watch a film. I would like to play a board game this afternoon but I am thinking the children would like some time to do their thing instead. All in all a good day despite the weather.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
