I did spend a year doing most of the sports sign up offers at the time and made several grand, but as an activity I prefer casino offers (because they can whirr away in the background while I do something else), and since I don't NEED to do it, and it does still bring in an income (£182 in March), that's what I stick to at the min 😊5 -
Gotcha. Casino offers a valid source of lowish risk profit assuming you aren't the type to get carried away. I did, several times! 😳6

Eek! Yes, definitely worth stepping away if you're in any way at risk. Fortunately I've never been tempted and am generally pretty methodical at following instructions so I've been ok (so far at least!)
Productive day continues! Made four portions of aubergine & chick pea curry (three for the freezer), and did the last couple of casino offers, bringing daily total to £18, and April total to £72.
Going to spend 20 mins on the ceiling now, keep putting it off...6 -
Wow, there's a lot going on! I'm ashamed of how little I've done - ever since I activated the kindle app on my computer, I get waylaid at the drop of a hat

A day reading is never wasted! And also you don't have the prospect of going back to work in three days looming over you as motivation... 😮😂😂
I've not been as productive all the rest of my holidays 😂😂 I just wanted a full on day of pottering (and that's all it's been - cooking and gardening and errands, nothing massive), and it's been fun!
Stopping now though. Measured and cut a piece of plasterboard but the wall is at a bit of an angle so it needs shaping and I do NOT have the energy right now for all the faffing that involves. Hot chocolate and tv beckon now 😁😁7 -

This is *so* true 😂😂😂 thanks for the reminder about guilt-free reading

Brilliant - that's great! We still want a chicken report, I should think, though 🐔

Morning chums!
Today I am mostly keeping my fingers crossed that things get a teensy bit warmer and sunnier for when our visitors arrive at lunchtime... 🙄
So far I've prepared lunch, sticking to our new 'keep it simple visitor prep rules - so no attempting to bake bread or make elaborate new cakes! We have bought bread, veggie burgers, salad, cheese, boiled eggs, and a cake from the local shop.
Done a bit of crocheting, a bit MB (the less said the better this morning...). Washed the dishes. Just off out to try to jump start the old car... if it works, I'll take it for a spin to B&Q to charge the battery and buy a plasterboard saw. If not, I'll switch back to the kitchen ceiling and call the breakdown people.
Hope you're all having a fun day whatever you're doing - wrap up warm!9 -
Ha - of COURSE the stupid car won't jump start 😩 Of course. Because why would it be that easy?? And I've noticed one of the tyres has a slight tear in it as well as being partly flat, so even if I'd got the damn thing started I wouldn't really want to drive anywhere in it anyway.
So it looks like I'm ringing the breakdown people, although not today - it's been bust for weeks, possibly months, so it doesn't need sorting on a day when we've got visitors.
And of course it started snowing while I was out there.
Do you know what I want? It's simple really. I want to NOT be responsible for car maintenance. I'm very happy to be completely independent in most things, but I HATE car maintenance. If we didn't live in this stupid place I'd happily not have a car - and right now I'm considering selling the house and moving somewhere I can walk everywhere 🙄 Not really, but I would VERY happily hand over all responsibility for car maintenance (even just ringing the damn garage!) to someone else.
Deep breaths Cheery... Don't want to still be angry when the visitors arrive... 🙄🙄9 -
Completely agree about car maintenance, I would also add house maintenance to that list.
