Cut it in half and do a wash one, wear one thing 😁
Secateurs are GREAT. They even have a kind of holster that clips onto your trousers so you don't leave them in the mud and forget about them 😁 Did a bit of light pruning and attacked the ivy on the little seating area by the back door.
Back inside now as the sun has dropped behind the hill and it's a bit chilly. Got another board on the ceiling, and I've been dealing round the edges - three to go and then this side of the room is done! Still got the whole other side of the room to do... but it does feel a bit like it's getting there.
Might need something to eat now though...9 -

Goodness me, the banking gremlins are out in force this morning!! 😮😮😮
Did a bit of matched betting over breakfast - signed up with a new casino and payment wouldn't go through. Got annoyed and closed it - but then payment wouldn't go through on an order one that I used yesterday either. Noticed a text saying bank card was blocked.
Fine, I'll just reply to say it was me. Except I can't, because my phone plan doesn't cover texts to that type of number, so first I have to top up the phone account.
Account unlocked - but then I get another text from main current account saying I'm due to go into my overdraft. What?? Aarrgghh! Looks like the combination of start of the month mortgage etc, plus £600 gas bill, plus over diligent sweeping into premium bonds was just too much for it...
Only overdrawn by £18, so swept £100 from other account with same bank (which only had £105 in). But now balance is showing as £360! Can't see anything else has gone in?
Urgh, I don't know. Will keep an eye on it the next few days. I'm not paid for another couple of weeks so will need to sweep some in from elsewhere, possibly the MB account, although need to leave enough so that drip feeds the other current account 😂 Both of those were only set up for regular savers, which have now ended, so I might see about getting rid of the non-MB one... we'll see.
What a palaver for a Monday morning! MB not going well either - doing pretty much solely casino at the minute so it's a bit of a risk and quite tiresome.
Of course once my £1m premium bond money goes in this will al be irrelevant... 😂😂7 -
Hmm, yes I can see what I've done - last month's payments to the regular savers went out of the main current account (£1000), but because I was closing the post office account with the main savings balance in, the whole lot transferred to the current account, rather than just my normal £1000. Then when I bought premium bonds, I forgot to leave the £1000 in there, and just put the whole lot in premium bonds... plonker!
Hmm, will try to manage without taking out of premium bonds - I'm paid on the 18th. Got another regular saver closing on 21st, so will remember to leave £1000 from that in the current account!7 -
That's not going to stop you locking yourself out of your bank account though 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Good grief, I wouldn't like to face that first thing on a Monday morning! Well done to you for sussing it so quickly.2023: the year I get to buy a car5

I ended up in a stupid 25 minute live chat conversation after that with a casino, and didn't start work til 11! 😮 Should probably have finished later to make up for it, but they've had enough out of me recently, and after a 3 hour video thing this afternoon I couldn't face staying there any longer...
Doing a bit more MB while my tea is in the oven - so far today I'm down £50, which is why they tell you not to start with casino!! 😮😮 Hoping for a nice big win this evening to make up, although not holding my breath... 😂
Mr Cheery has taken a car full of stuff to the tip - their clothes bank was full so we'll have to go back to the supermarket at some point. I guess all the charity shops are shut so not many places to take them right now.
He's also been sorting out the loft 😮 It's coming as a bit of a shock, all this sorting out 😮 The bath is currently full of cushions, suitcases, duvets for single beds that we don't have... a lot of it sadly attacked by mice... 🙄
Anyway. I've got my reduced pie in the oven with some sweet potato and parsnip, and I'll do some juggling of finances after tea. I can transfer funds from the MB account if necessary, as the only DD on that account doesn't go out til the day I'm paid anyway...6 -
Ooh, premium bonds prizes are in people!
I didn't win the anticipated million (this time!) but I did win £50! 😁😁 Not bad for the first month. I don't think it was from my ancient numbers... 😂 but will check...8 -
