45 does feel young! But I can see the appeal... and maybe it would actually make sense for someone in my situation, with an older spouse, where an accessible bungalow and entertainment and other people around while I'm at work might well become really important in the coming years... 🙄 45 does still feel very young for a retirement village though!
So. I wore myself out yesterday! A five mile bike ride, then an entire day in the garden, and a long walk in the evening. Lots of pottering done though and it felt SO good to be outside in the sunshine!
Sun is still shining today, although I've not been outside other than to let chickens out. Did a bit of (futile) matched betting this morning, and FINALLY took the Christmas tree down 😂😂😁
Also had a BIG clear out of paperwork. It wasn't too badly organised, but everything from the last few weeks had been just thrown in a drawer. Al sorted and filed away now, and quite a bit of extra thrown away (MOT certificates for cars we don't have any more etc).
Mr Cheery has been clearing out kitchen cupboards and all kinds as well. So everything is quite jiggled piggledy here at the minute but I'm sure we will be completely minimalist soon!😂😂
Might go outside in a bit though - I want to clear the little terrace by the front door so we can sit out there for a cuppa 😊 At the minute there's lots of stuff blown in, the chairs are on their sides etc. Won't take long and will also improve the view from the window!9 -

Ha, yes, they've been running rampant here too! 😮😂
We loaded the car and went to the tip this afternoon, via the DIY shop for secateurs as the spring broke on mine yesterday. Got secateurs, but turned round before the tip as the queue was massive. They're open til 6pm so we'll sneak in one evening in the week I think. We did remember the supermarket clothes bins though, so four bin bags of Mr Cheery's clothes have gone to there. Must remember to take smaller bags next time - one got stuck and it took me forever to wiggle it out!
Bought milk and had a walk round the back streets while we were there for a change of scenery.
Got home now, going to have a cuppa and try my new secateurs!5 -

OH thinks I may have omitted an imperial to metric (or vice-versa) conversion! - not to worry it's just been folded in half & placed over the table for now - may think about an alteration of some sort down the road!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!!
