Just checked out the nectar double up. Window has passed to do them online. Must do on app from 13th Nov and redeem by 19th so small window. Can do some booze, as long as it's the TTD range.0

I've not got any Nectar points left now because I used the £10 I had and put it towards a pair of dungarees on e*ay last month :DNot complaining because there is always space in my wardrobe for another pair, NOT  But, in my defence dungarees are all I ever wear, oh and welly boots.
That reminds me Cheery, did you manage to mend your wellies?, was the new stuff any good?.
How is the car hunting going?. Any closer to finding something?. Hope so because most of us will know how time consuming that can be and you have enough to do as it is.

I'm dropping in to say that I read the first and last 7 pages last eve and thoight to let you know that you have another one cheering you on. Your humour and determination mirrors mine and, well, Country living? Sold!
Welcome lykkelig, and  at the thought of you wading through all my waffle and drivel:rotfl: It's very lovely to see you though and I do so very much appreciate you cheering me on - I am always grateful for any support of course :j Do you live in the middle of nowhere too? And do you have a diary too? Will investigate

Ah yes indeed - I downloaded the app yesterday - it's how I worked out just how many points we had! I'm going to have to head back to the big city to get to a Sainsbury's bigger than a corner shop:rotfl: Thinking of what Christmas presents we can buy already - I should probably look at their homeware etc online first rather than wandering aimlessly round the shop for two hours

I did indeed mend my wellies, thanks for asking! Although they haven't yet been properly tested, despite the water, as I've been at work and only really at home in the dark  Will have a good stomp about in them tomorrow. Of course they look ridiculous, but I did end up using yellow Sugru (on yellow wellies) so hopefully once they're covered in mud again it will blend in nicely :rotfl:
If it doesn't work, I'll dig the spare ones we keep for guests back out of the loft (I'd forgotten about those!) They're not half as cheery as mine, just cheap black things with hardly any structure, but they might do for now (as long as they're properly waterproof of course)
Car hunting - pah. The one we wanted has sadly sold (last weekend as it happened, but they've still not bothered to take the advert down  ) So Mr Cheery is on the lookout again. He's in charge of finding possible ones, and then I'll ring up and arrange to see them. I also need to do some money shuffling - of course we're buying privately so we'll need to pay cash  So it needs to be in the right account, and also we either need to spend several days getting it out of the cash machine, or take a trip to the branch (fortunately there's one fairly close so we don't have to go all the way back to the city again).0 -
Anyway, all excitement here as I am now off for a whole week! :j :j Well, I'm back on the 18th, so that's NINE WHOLE DAYS if you count the weekends, which I will because it will make it feel more exciting :j
I don't usually take time off at this time of year but right now it feels necessary with everything else that's going on, and I'm looking forward to getting a few practical things done (chicken run roof I'm looking at YOU) plus various bits of admin (money shuffling, sorting out builders to come back), a family visit to a relative who's recently moved house, lunch with a friend who's off sick with stress, and another one I've not seen for a long time, and various house-related things. And a fair bit of lazing around too I hope! :j :j0 -
Holiday, yay! Here's to a bit of lazing around2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Sometimes it's enough of a rest to have the time to busy on doing what needs doing. I don't think that made sense. I'll try again. It's nice to have the time to do what needs doing as opposed to having a growing list and not having the time to do it. Getting our own things accomplished, ticked off and done is rewarding and that sense of achievement can fuel a lovely relaxing evening compared to that of an evening in from work. I'm exhausted!
To answer your question Cheery I am rural but I haven't the land that you have. I have a potager garden.2020 Fashion on the Ration Challenge 4/66 coupons spent

Yeah 'course. I have a bed for the veggies, all crammed in using square foot method and edible herbs by the door. Then it's a free for all with perrenials, shrubs and fruits. It' s been 10 years in the making and I'm still not finished. There are always gaps to be filled.from perennial poppies and hydrangeas to lavender, magnolia, roses, echinacea, verbena and anemone to blueberry raspberry, small self fertile apple, rasps and alpine strawberries near the shade. Anything and everything goes. There are books out there about layering a potager garden, I have used them but really I just plant what takes my fancy, what I use and what I like to eat.
I'm sure a lot of gardeners would say my space is confusing. I like it busy though. It'll do until I can have Cheery's land.2020 Fashion on the Ration Challenge 4/66 coupons spent

It does indeed sound cheery, thank you for sharing! :j :j I'll be working on my garden next year - it's a bit of a hodge podge at the minute and I've produced (in total) two apples and one marrow this year
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Hey ho. Off out to put a roof on the chicken run (finally!!) now it's stopped raining for five minutes this year :rotfl:0
