Oh Cheery, sorry to hear that! Hope Mr Cheery doesn’t suffer too much (would imagine he’d have noticed by now if he was going to have symptoms). Enjoy a quiet Christmas together (we’ve spent New Year’s Eve decorating before - opening some bubbly makes it fun!) - you’ll be able to have the family round to enjoy your dining table in the new year.

Oh bother to that Cheery - what a pain, not least it taking 3 days for them to tell him!  Hopefully he’ll be ok, and will get clear tests on days 6 & 7. On the plus side I guess those 3 days do at least mean less time left on his isolation period.

Oh no! What a pain! Glad he's feeling okay in himself though. But what a pain not telling you til 3 days later. As neither of you are feeling ill, try to make the most of it and just relax for the next week.

Yes, his last day of isolation is 31st Dec, so some of the days have already passed. But of course he was out and about during them, eek! He had a negative test at the weekend, and since our friend left on Monday, he's been nowhere other than the supermarket (masked and usually late at night, and wary of keeping a distance), and the cafe (where we deliberately sit right in the corner, masks on until we're drinking etc). So no guarantees, but I hope he's not infected anyone (least of all me!!)

Anyway, today hasn't turned out quite as planned!! But we are in and cosy now. I do want to get a couple of extra things done though, so a little list is in order, lest I spend all evening staring at the internet and don't do anything festive... 

Giving myself an hour, and I want to... 

* change the bed (I distinctly remember my mum saying "clean sheets for Santa!" when I was a kid (!))
* hoover the living room
* clear off the kitchen table
* wrap Mr Cheery's presents (VERY pleased with myself for making fabric present bags last year - they make this job extremely easy and quick!)
* shower and wash hair

That's it. Not even going to bother with anything else. Mr Cheery usually makes Christmas dinner so I'm going to leave him to it - doesn't matter if we don't end up with everything we planned. 

Right, if I get off my backside I can be on the sofa with a glass of knock-off Bailey's and a Christmas film by 7.30. Ready, steady, GO!

So sorry to hear about Mr. Cheery testing postive!   Fingers crossed he remains without symptoms.

Thankfully you are home & cosy and can enjoy a nice quiet time together over the holidays.

sorry about the positive test Cheery.  The tooth thing, you can buy diy temporary filling stuff that lasts a few days 'toothy pegs' etc.  We always some in the first aid kit after I broke one of mine eating soup on holiday, which I have never lived down.

Hope you have a good christmas anyway, complete with clean sheets.

Well, I've done everything except hoover the living room - and as Mr Cheery was watching the tail end of a programme, and then planning on doing some food prep for tomorrow, I've run myself a bath 😁😁

Meant to tell you - I popped into the supermarket earlier for treats for Mr Cheery. Came across a trolley of reduced items next to the bakery - mostly bakery stuff, some fruit and veg. Swiped some oranges (there were a few bags), wandered on - and then some woman came up and pushed the trolley away!! 😮😮 It seems I swiped them from her shopping!! 😮😮 I was too embarrassed to do anything except walk away 😮😂😂 She did have several other bags of oranges so I hope she won't be four short for a recipe 😂😂

Your supermarket story did make me giggle! I cleaned someone else's trolley in Mr S earlier this week!
