Morning all
Hugs, Happy (belated) birthdays, welcome to the newbies, congrats or commiserations as applicable
Sorry, haven't been around much this week ..... where does the time go?
I thought I'd got ahead of myself this week, housework-wise, but I suppose having boys and all their friends traipsing in and out all day doesn't leave it anything like clean and tidy :rotfl: Also, DS2 and his mate went to a fancy dress party yesterday. They both went as Jack Frost in identical costumes (made for me by other boy's mum :j) and I did the spikey glittery hair. However, I now have lots of bits of tinselly stuff all over the carpets downstairs, from their clothes. Ah well, they looked great
Managed to get into both the boys' rooms on Friday and have blitzed them completely. The recycling bags are stuffed and no one has noticed the distinct lack of broken toys and "works of art" yet  AND.. they are keeping them tidy (for now)
Today is a vac round, laundry and watch the GP sort of day:) Have no idea what's for tea.... the fridge is stuffed but my 2 are sometimes picky so I end up cooking what I want and then they can have some or not! (Or sausages) Need to do some paperwork for an ongoing but lengthy MS job too)
Re the hair "disaster" all I think I once heard someone say that if you put on a strong shampoo like Head and Shoulders and leave it fo about 20 mins, then lots of conditionings, then this should take down the colour. As for me, I have a friend who is a hairdresser so I have come to an arrangement where she colours my hair and I pay her back in kind. Suits me. I still prefer to have someone else cut it as I prefer their style, but that keeps the costs down considerably.
Right, coffee finished, WM calls. Oooh, I forgot, I also need to get into the garden for an hour or so to sweep up leaves and the garden waste is collected tomorrow. At least it's a sunny day.
Keep well and ((hugs)) to all

Well DS1 has gone off to G.Canaria, havent had a text to say everythings ok yet. As he's not here I put the toys I got from argos yesterday in his bedroom out of the way......went in there this morning to look for a dvd for the kids when suddenly I heard behind me "oh look you've bought me Glitterator" arrrgg DD standing there!! Oh Bu**er! silly mum:o :rotfl:
Shame about the Rugby - maybe if that try was allowed it might have been a different game altogether
sorry, nothing much else exciting happening as i havent done anything yet - apart from colour my hair and put the washing on! the others still havent dried on the line yet as its too cold.:o oh might pop to primark and get the kids some new fleeces!
Happy Birthday Joannasmum& annistars DH!!:bdaycake: enjoy your day!
Sunshine - I coloured my hair this morning too and it came out ok this time (I use a golden blonde) but last time i left it on too long and it came out abit funny - so know how you feel! Years ago at the hairdressers I went to have all my blonde highlights taken out and go back mousey - they put on red pigment first then a brown to cover the red and I came out Black!!! it was awful - I had to live with it then - but I dont know if you can put a blonde on top to lighten up yours - Im really not suresometimes you have to wait awhile before putting another colour on to let the hair rest.
We need some MSE Hairdressers here for advice!
chalky - Have a lovely time in Spain:T

Goodmorning Everyrone,
Happy Birthday Joannasmum & Annies DH :bdaycake:
I made the bread & butter pickles today which turned out lovely.I was also given a bunch of flowers (lillies) from giving a lettuce away yesterday.
The old bloke down the road gave me some grass seed he had for our front yard. I trotted down this arv with a lettuce for him.
So I worked on the yard this arv. DH & I just polished off a bottle of red on the patio.

Good Morning All
Happy Birthday Joannasmum & Anniestar's DH - have a lovely day
WOW! mrs mix - what a fantastic win! I won zilch! Sorry that you had another fall, hope your ok!
Moiliere - sorry to hear there's no great deal of change with MIL.
Dlb - enjoy footy!
Chalky - Good luck to you both for your new life! Dont leave it too long before popping in with a hello!
Aussie - how nice - lettuce in return for flowers! I can cope with that!
Kyle - welcome home. Glad you had a lovely time despite those few minor problems. Cant wait to see the pics!
OH has just gone to the park with DS & DD to play football! I never heard him get up this morning, he'd allready been out to do the weekly shopping & returned before I got up! This week's shopping came in at £50.50, not bad to say thats including pet food, pack up stuff & toiletries, as well as fresh meat & fruit/veg etc!
So, today's plan, will be housework, iron fresh bedding & changing it.
Sausage casserole for dinner. Meal plan this week has been fun, trying to think of meals which does not involve using the oven! Anyway, Ive got it sorted. So at least I can manage another week without the oven! That'll give me time to keep looking, and not buy just for the sake of buying (IYSWIM)
Listed few more bits on ebay, mainly my handmade cards in bulk. As I can get carried away with making them, and running out of space!
Anyway, best make a start
Have a great day
Love Emma xxx
PS - I went with OH yesterday to do the car boot. It was terrible to say the least! Made a total profit of £2.30 :rotfl: They put us in a different field. So not sure whether that was the reason, and less busy also! Or the fact that people just wasn't buying!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Morning to 1 and all
:hello:
Well we seem to be having a O/S 'kind of' a weekend (bar the food, well so far )
I started having a clear out in my wardrobe on Friday night and filled a binbag without breaking a sweat! I then stopped as if I carried on as strict as I was I really wouldn't have much left!:o
I also got the eldest to [strike]muck out his pig sty :silenced: [/strike] de-clutter _pale_ , 2 bin bags full of paper/old notes and whatevers came out of his room, its now doubled in size! (small terraced house):rotfl:
So I intend to do a roast later and the weetabix cake thing, as the lads have now gone off the stuff, but I bet they'll try cake!;)
But I will be going to hit the shops in a short while :j , gotto fill that empty space haven't I?;)
Watching the GP later, hoping for a better result than last night.
Happy Day to you all
edit......Aussie lass, loving the lettuce tales!Panda xx

Morning all,
I hope you are all well. We have been bobbing along for the last few weeks and up to our necks in OH's redecorating programme. The ground floor is now done and I have packed away 6 boxes of ornaments that have been cluttering the place up. The lounge looks gorgeous and I am very pleased with the results. When I get paid next week he (that means us LOL) wants to paper the childrens bedrooms and then finally our bedroom.
I get the feeling from him that he wants it all done before his op (whenever that may be) and as it is keeping him happy I am happy to let him keep pottering on.
He saw the cardiologist last week and he is concerned about his nosebleeds - 1 or 2 a day - and has asked him to get his bp checked regularly, his lungs are clear at the moment so the water tabs have been reduced from 160mg a day to 120mg and he will see him again in 5 weeks. He says that they have told Manchester that he needs the surgery so we will see what they say on the 9th of Nov.
OS wise there has been tons of washing over the last few weeks and 95% of it has been dried on the line. We have eaten well and the cupboards and freezers are pretty well stocked. today we are having a roast chicken dinner and rice pudding. Well I will have mine tonight after work.
I have been scouring Ebay for cheap xmas presents and also the charity shops and am starting to get things together in that direction. I also have £22 to come for surveys which I will use towards the xmas shop. We have also located some holly growing wild, pine cones and together with the tons of old decorations we have am toying with the idea of making family and friends some sort of xmas boquets/wreath type thingies. It is something the children can get involved with too.to joannasmummy and anniestar's OH.
to all who need one today especially Moiliere.
Kyle - welcome back.
Sunshine - sorry I am not much help here either.
Mrs mix - enjoy your windfall.
See you all soon,

Morning All
Many Happy Returns to Joannasmum & Annies OH - have lovely days
Mrs-Mix - sorry about the ankle but congrats on the win!!
Sunshine38 - what works if - cover hair in olive oil, wrap clingfilm round and leave for at least half hour then wash off with head and shoulders - repeat as necessary.
Didnt get on at all yesterday as was soo busy time went nowhere. Had a very succesfull shopping trip with DD - thank goodness for New Look as their clothes actually fit DD & most of what we picked up was reduced.
Bought myself a stove top expresso maker - havnt had a chance to play with it but need to go and get some drinking chocolate and will give it a go later - mochas for me and latte for OH.
Already been to DS footie match this morning which they sadly lost but it was to a team who are top of the league and came home via the farm shop and bought a lovely piece of pork for dinner which OH is preparing now. For some reason he has decided to cook dinner & has never done a roast before - should be interesting. I am not looking forward to the clear up.
My plan of action today is to clear the ironing mountain or a least reduce it to hill size - hopefully there will be some decent stuff to watch whilst doing it. Dont watch motor racing but fingers and everything crossed for Lewis Hamilton.
Off now for a quick surf. Oh nearly forgot - glad you had a good time Kyle -counting the days myself.

DH has offered to take us all out for a family Sunday lunch as DD(18) is back from uni for the weekend.
Possibly my pointing out that only my small top oven works so I cannot do the traditional Sunday lunch had something to do with it!
Or the whinge that everything in this kitchen is dropping to bits except me!
We need to pick up some stuff from the storage lock up for DD so will combine that with lunch out.
Happy birthday :bdaycake: :bdaycake:
Just heard bathroom is free so dashing off to get ready.
See you later"This site is addictive!"
