I just wanted to wish you all a Happy New Year. Your help and advice has been invaluable, I found myself on this thread asking questions rather than asking social services as I got faster and more accurate advice here! On some days I think my posts were more suited to the Samaritans than to a help thread, and I thank you all for responding anyway.
I went away for Christmas and two days after I left dad had some sort of fit and was rushed to hospital. He remained there for his birthday and for Christmas and I got him back to the home two days ago. They suggest he has a heart problem but we have decided to leave it alone as he is still very happy and content and has no pain anywhere. In fact when I visited him in hospital he even knew me, which he hasn't done for a while.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Dear soolin, I am glad you got a break at Christmas, and FWIW it seems very sensible not to enter on a regime of tests and investigations if your dad is not in pain. So glad he knew you too, something to hold on to if it all goes ghastly again ...
