My electronic scales have been very hard on batteries recently and when I was googling why this might be, there were lots of posts from people saying the same had happened with theirs and it had gone hand in hand with the scales being inaccurate.
So this morning I dragged out my old manual set, and did a comparison. The manual set weighed 3lb lighter! I was going to say a NSV but actually it is probably a victory over the scales
I'm going to stick with the old electronic set I think for consistency purposes but adjust my target up by a few pounds. I did google an ideal weight site last night, and based on their measurements I apparently have a large frame, which means my current target weight is the very bottom of what they think my ideal weight should be, even though it's in the middle of the BMI range for my height.0 -
Well done on your losses missteach and MrsR.:T
I was sorry to read you're feeling a bit down and out of love with SW beanie, then you asked about buying gym kit! You're a star!:T I think you just have to take your own advice and keep plodding. You know weightloss will make a difference to mobility but it's hard to remember that when faced with a packet of orange Smarties and a bottle of Raspberry gin!:(
We're away from tomorrow so Friday's breakfast is probably the last meal until next Wednesday that I'll have 100% control of. That being said, I get on quite well with hotel breakfasts. It's the sandwich lunches that are my main problem and I'm determined to have fish and chips being at the seaside!:D
I was going to have a HM ready meal tonight but quite a lot of fresh veg to use up so changed the meal plan.
Last night's Italian meal was OK (bruschetta and crab pasta with tomato based sauce) but I didn't help matters by having an ice cream at the theatre.:o I did buy some of their HM balsamic. It's to die for, thick as syrup.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk
L: ham with stir fried vegsausages, mash, carrots, fried onions, cabbage, broccoli, kale
Syns: sausages (2), gravy (4?)0 -
Weigh in today and it’s 1lb off
:T:T:T0 -
WI this morning wasn't too bad - a 2lb gain which means I'm just 0.5lb above target range. Easily get rid of that this week as long as I continue to stick to plan!
Maman enjoy your long weekend away. I'm sure whatever you put on you'll shift easily. As we usually say "if it goes on quickly, it'll come off quickly".
Today's plan:
B - black & green grapes after WI
L - scrambled eggs with spinach stirred through on toast
D - liver, bacon, mash & onions; may have a splash of gravy but will decide when I eat (I don't always have gravy, depends on my mood, LOL!)
HEA - milk as usual
HEB - bread
Syns - splash of gravy 1?; couple of G&Ts 5 syns

Looking good miss teach!
Going to be radio silent over the weekend - currently at the airport enjoying an alcoholic drink & being off plan (well not worrying about syns anyway lol) as we're away for Easter celebrating our birthdays.
But better still son just heard he's passed his assessment centre interview for the police so will be celebrating on his behalf!!0 -

How do you make a couple of gins 5 syns? I always count mine as 3 each. Maybe you have less gin.:(
I changed the meal plan again for lunch as wanted to use up stuff in the fridge. With ham, cornichons and beetroot and a couple of eggs, I fried up mushrooms, tomatoes and sliced spring onions. It was delicious, onions made a big difference. Yum!0 -

The gain for the holiday was a bit more than the 2lb today! I've really stuck to plan since getting back and probably lost 1.5-2lb since then!
When I'm being good I measure my gin @ 25ml so 2.5 each. If you have a 35ml measure it's 4 and a pub measure (50ml) is 5!
I think onions always add to whatever you're having - gives a great taste. Would hate not to be able to have onions!
