Stuff the weight .... what did you do? what did you buy? where did you eat?...... we need details!

    :D:D:D:D:D

I had a fab time. In terms of shopping we bought lots of clothes for my OH but I didn't buy anything for myself because nothing looked quite how I wanted yet. So ended up having a makeover in Bloomingdales instead and OH bought me all the cosmetics they used and some very nice skincare too.

Our sightseeing this time was a bit off the wall because we've done most of the usual stuff already. We did an historical walk of the parts of NY which were important in War of Independence and also had a lovely morning in JP Morgan library and saw a Tennessee Williams exhibition.

Saw Chicago on Broadway and The Post in a movie theatre. And cocktails one night.

Food wise I was pretty good. I had what I wanted for meals but no snacking in between. Only had pancakes for breakfast once and ironically didn't even enjoy them that much having looked forward to them for weeks! Lunches I mostly had a salad. Dinners were less good and involved wine :D

Sounds fabulous.... but you know what you need to do now..... plan a return trip for when the clothes will feel/look right on you... and enjoy again x

Weighed in a day early this week but super thrilled to have lost -3.5lb!! Woohoo! That is 10lb in 3 weeks. And as my husband agreed when I got to 6 stone loss that he was going to put £5 in my moneybox for each pound I lose instead of the £1 he had been putting in, that was a nice little chunk in the pot tonight!

Will be off plan Wednesday/Thursday/Friday now though as I'm taking 30 of our Y5/6 children away on residential. We were supposed to go a couple of weeks ago but 'The Beast from The East' stopped our adventure! Normally my suitcase would contain a selection of family sized sharing bags of chocolate but I'm not taking any extra snacks with me this year. I know I will be having syns for my main meals as I have a choice of only what they are serving! Hoping as it's for the kids they will try and serve them nutritious food but not sure if I'm being ambitious! I know when I went to look around before they had a salad bar so if all else fails there is hopefully that!

I will eat breakfast here before I leave and we have to take a packed lunch as we don't arrive in time to eat a cooked lunch there so I've got egg and potato salad, melon and a yoghurt. So dinner will be the only off plan meal tomorrow. Then Friday I will be home for dinner and I have a SW frozen ready meal so I can get back on it ASAP when I get back.

I need 1.5lb to get my 6.5 stone award and would love that next week but need to stay focused whilst away to achieve that.
    WOW , well done:j:j:j:j

Also today is very much a day of reflection.
Today it is 22 years since the horror of Dunblane.
So please take a moment to remember the children & their teacher.

Well done, Mrs_R, on your determination and achievements.

There's a very moving video posted on the BBC news Facebook page.

Lion.... hope you have managed to keep warm x

    All sorted now, thanks.

Great loss Miss Teach and Nicki, your trip sounds fab!

I remain faithfully on plan. Yesterday's offerings were:

B – Porridge with frozen mixed berries (defrosted obviously!) (HEX B)
    L – L/O spaggy bol
D- Heck Chicken Italian sausages in a tomato pasta bake with cheese (HEX A)

    Snacks: Fat free yog

Syns: Murray mints x 2 – think I am addicted to them

Not much speed there other than what was in the sauces (onions, leeks, carrots, tomatoes, peas and spinach.)

I was at university doing teacher training when it happened and it really hit us all quite hard. Thoughts are with all those families and the community.

Well done on the weight loss and good luck on the residential.

As a Guide leader I understand the 'fun' of residentials. My normal plan for eating is to just eat a normal size plateful. No going back for seconds, and if you are putting the stuff on the plate yourself, put the speed on first.
Places catering for kids are generally getting better at offering healthy option, as the kids tend to prefer it. My Guides love having a fruit bowl they can help themselves to, and we can easily go through 3 cucumbers in one meal.

Half on for me last night :(
Bit disappointed as I had hoped for a maintain, but I had eaten dinner before weigh in because I was starving, and I normally wait till after.

Feeling determined to have a good week.

    Today's plan:
    Breakfast - fruit salad
Lunch - noodles, chicken and veg
    Dinner - Broccoli cheese soup

    HA - milk and cheese
    HB - cereal bars
Syns - cranberry juice (2.5), miso (0.5) and possibly some extra syns for the soup.

Dinner isn't great, but daughter is having a tooth out today, so want something easy to eat for her.
