Beanie - hope that toothache is sorted quickly. Toothache is horrible.

Final day before WI - still expecting a gain but hopefully only a small one!

    Today's plan:

    B - boiled eggs & soldiers - 2 syns for spread
L - LO shepherds pie; veg of some sort
D - HB braised steak; mash & veg

Will snack on raspberries, strawberries, grapes, apples and/or oranges. Will probably have some berries with quark for pud tonight.

    Have a good day everyone.

By next level on Stoke, do you mean that you're gradually getting closer to following the plan exactly? You've obviously got all the basics but if you've not been measuring bread then you've got room to tighten up.

That's fine if you want to ban crisps and chocolate because you can't trust yourself to stop but I do hope you are having syns. They're built into the balanced eating plan alongside all the other foods.

Proteins are good for you so you don't need to reduce them provided they're not overtaking the amount of Speed. It's not essential to do EESP but the closer you are to 50/50 Speed/Protein the weightloss should be better but it doesn't work for everyone.

The only things you have to measure should be HEXs (unless you have packs like Weetabix) and syns. I always go by eye for my third+ Speed food. What else are you measuring/counting? That's the easy part of SW, very little measuring needed.:)
By next level, I just get back to plan. When I have good weeks I sometimes begin to stray, and yeah, I'll stop measuring. I'll also up my speed and maybe reduce a small amount of protein. 2/3 speed, 1/3 protein my usual.

-6.5lbs this week in my weigh-in. My best week since starting. My last record was -6lbs.

I'm officially 1st 5lbs off my target now. Not quite home straight, but getting there.

I've just realised that according to BMI, my target means I'm still overweight.

    5ft 8, 12st 7.5lbs = 26.6

not sure how i feel about that.

Thank you very much. I must admit, I didn't aim to lose that much and I don't really know how or why I did. -3lbs would have been fine, seeing as that is what I gained last week, but like my consultant loves to say "don't beat yourself up or make excuses, just be happy" :)

I also got the 4.5 stone award which is nice. I think I'm going to get a rucksack and put 4.5 stone of rocks in it and see how it feels. Weird to think that I was carrying that everyday at one point.

Fair to say Slimming World has utterly changed my life. My friend has recently refused to join because of cost, but I don't think you can put a price on the health benefits of SW.

I am not worrying about it.
If you google super BMI you will see it is ok.
They look at it slightly differently.

I know BMI is considered obsolete and should be ignored.... so why do I find myself constantly looking at it lol? I was over the moon when I finally fell under the 30 point, from obese into overweight.

    https://www.smartbmicalculator.com/

Entered my details as accurately as possible (I actually don't know if I'm 5ft8 or 5ft9, maybe I should measure, but used my target weight which is 12st 7.5lbs
Your weight is at a somewhat elevated level; in our view, it may be less than optimal for your health. By classification of the WHO, you are "overweight".
Your body fat mass seems to be a slightly above average. But health ought not be affected provided your blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels remain at moderate values. This could be more likely if you have a higher muscle mass and a lower amount of body fat.
I really can't answer about muscle mass I simply don't know. I wouldn't say I'm the most active person, but I do play football two or three times a week.
    SBMI = 41/70

This assessment is based on the newly developed Smart Body Mass Index. Its ideal range is between 30/70 and 39/70.
Your Smart Body Mass Index (SBMI) is calculated as 41/70 or "41 points out of 70".

At this weight level, you are at risk of gaining more weight. If you manage to maintain your current weight, you have reached your first and most important goal. Weight loss should only take the second place.
Your SBMI will decrease by about one point within ten years if you manage to keep your 12 stones 8 pounds stable. This is due to the fact that the optimal, i.e. the "healthiest" BMI range increases with age, thus reaching higher BMI values.

I really have no idea :D
