I know she wouldn't judge me really - but there are some things that really, really need doing, and they cost money and/or need muscle, so I *can't* get those done. But there are others about, say, cleaning a year's dust off the skirting boards, damn, its more or less congealed :o:o:o I swore I wouldn't give specfics, but there it is, thats what its like in one room, anyway.... when I say I'm lazy (in some ways, anyway) I'm really not kidding! I use friends' visits as a way of doing some of that backlog. Found out a few months ago that my mum does exactly the same thing, quite consciously, when me and my sister go to stay with her, so at least I know where I got it from!

And Pania - get going, girl!

An Essay On Multitasking In The Last Hour:
    - stripping the bed and putting the washing machine on.
    - washing up.
    - playing bingo.
    - withdrawing and playing again with leftover.
    - scanning old newsletters so I can throw away the photocopies I have.
    - took a phone call.
    - have gone back to the bingo to hopefully win again on the same lot.
    - opening the post (finally, lol!)
    - got the trading software running, but no trades.
    - came on here!
    - sent a couple of emails.

This is to try to convince myself of how well I'm doing - and *am* doing well, in spurts like this. Particularly because today, my eyes really hurt this morning cos of all the time on the computer - not time doing this, necessarily, but computer games. So this list is also to show me how much I can get done when I *don't* play computer games. I really need to do that.

Thanks! I'm just so eager to be out of debt..... and make more money so I can get a new central heating system, replace the electric wiring that had me calling out the fire brigade last year, replace the leaky double glazing, repair the holes in the plaster, really frivolous stuff like that! The way the bingo and the m.b. are going, I might do it, too!

    Thanks, Pania :kisses3:

More hurray! Went back to a previous bingo game from mid January, won another £8.28.

Got to stop now, more admin to do, & prepare for the weekend. I'll check out your diary before I log off altogether, Pania.

You're doing well with the bingo! I've had it running in the background all afternoon and won diddly-squat. I have, however, managed to 'pack' (read: chuck stuff in random boxes) the contents (i.e. those things I can reach without standing up!) of our study (read: junk room). I've just got to work out how to get back out of here, as I've been lobbing bags and boxes behind me as I go, and I've barricaded myself into the corner. Aaaargh, I'll have to play bingo all night until someone comes to rescue me! This would not be a good time to go into labour!

Good luck with the pre-visit clean up - it's true that friends don't come to inspect the house, but I agree with you KC - it is nice to make the effort for them, and it gives such motivation to clean things that you don't bother with the rest of the time. And you've got the added bonus of a clean house when they leave! Enjoy the visit, good luck with the WH bet this weekend!

   at the labour and :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: at trapping yourself in there via the boxes!

Exactly how I'd like to have put it myself! I hope you've managed to dig yourself out of that room by now! I haven't started the cleanup yet, been doing paid work, but I'm free Sunday and Monday, so I'll get going then.

    Byeee!
