I've just added you, kc.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Oh i added a few places myself and you get 20 points for that as well as extra for category. A few places near Southport haven't been added in fact distinctly lacking in NW.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hope the reviewing is going well for you all today!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Thanks! I've had to hang back a bit today - actual work going on, after all! - and doing contacts and things, plus a little bingoport to make me look less like a bonusbagger.
I've just finished the paid work for today - I'm not quite making my necessary minimum for the week, boo hiss - so am off for a walk round the block to clear my head, then I'll get down to stuff.
Hope you're okay squizz - catch you soon.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I remember the day of the eclipse all to well - I spent the morning in hospital after falling down the stairs and dislocating a finger... I was stuck in the waitingroom waiting for painkillers before I could be discharged but all the docs and nurses were outside staring at the sun with bits of exposed xray film  :rotfl:Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

Oh Taka, you poor thing  The eclipse saw me at a village called Madron, just above Penzance, telling people very firmly that Sir Patrick Moore was the people's astronomer, and was just over the way at St Michael's Mount, getting rained on just like us, not swanning on some yacht with the likes of Mohammed el Fayed...
I've been very caught up in the bingo site and qype recently, not focussing on my diary thread at all - I'm sort of surprised to see several posts on here yesterday! How odd - maybe I slipped through a timewarp. Doctor Who's next assistant, thats me. Otherwise known as a space cadet :rotfl:
Anyway.... just been doing online banking, shoving money around to where its supposed to be, and even tho my matched betting has stalled completely, I'm still almost 20% of the way to my next mortgage overpayment, which is where I'm sticking all my dfw money now, as soon as I can. Money actually received is at £92.52, with quite a few bits expected from quidco and mystery shopping before Christmas. My mortgage has gone down, I found out yesterday, from £172.89 in October to £154.something in November, to £106.11 in December. Thats a considerable drop :j I won't be putting that money into the overpayment account tho, just into general savings - there's two weeks holiday over Christmas with no money, and a tax bill in January. Still, its all good!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Ouch Taka
I had a very strange but rather nice day on the day of the eclipse, and one of the most memorable kisses I've ever had
Ahem.. anyway.. great news on the mortgage Karma - and all the extra money - well done!Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Now, some of the rambling about trading. Isn't everyone pleased? No? Me neither!
Perfectly sound signal this morning, 5 minutes in the market and I'd have netted 17 points. And I didn't take it AGAIN, silly moo. Silly several things that the swear filter will catch.
Then I had a little bit of a Eureka moment afterwards. I'd been on the phone to my mum last night, as usual on a Wednesday, and she'd been ranting about Vera Brittain (*against* Vera Brittain). Now, VB was one of the original bluestockings - too young to be a suffragette, but she won a place at Oxford University after it let women attend, but before it awarded them degrees (!), she resigned that place temporarily to go nurse in the First World War, and saw service only ten miles from the front line, she joined the Labour Party, even tho she was upper middle class (having grown up with servants etc) and fought for workers rights, she was a committed pacifist and became a Christian who worked hard for others all her life. And why does my mother rant against her? Because she was rich enough to be able to eat in restaurants during the First World War, when my grandmother had to queue for black bread. I mean, come on!
I'm the one my mother talks to, and I've had this anger rammed down my throat all my life, until its a part of me. And I'm posting this on here because this is my journey to riches, and I'll be blowed (insert expletive) if I'll let this stop me.
No more. I'm going to be rich. I'm going to be rich enough to save the polar bears and the Caledonian Forest. Thats me. In a hundred years, there'll be a plaque to me on some pillar somewhere, saying "she bought this land and re-made a forest, and donated it to the nation". Vera Brittain would be proud.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
