LOL KC! Spending too much time on MSE - what on earth are you talking about - it is just NOT possible:rotfl:

Ok, I know what you mean - time just seems to evaporate when on here! Martin should devise a timer system perhaps! Although even when MSE was down this week we still found a way of getting our fix through Facebook and Paidtoshop, so maybe my addiction is even worse than first thought!

Work-life balance now needs to be amended to work-life-MSE balance methinks!

Cleaners.... addiction counselling.... yep, Martin can pay for all of that, lol!

  • MSE does take up a lot of time. I got so much more done at the weekend when it wasn't here. Not that I want it to go away again though...that was a scary time when I couldn't immediately find out the answers to questions, post my ebay totals or discover what everyone else was up to! I even had to have proper conversations with OH that didn't start with "Someone on MSE said..."

    Hi choccy!

Just had my morning fix of diaries..... (I can see my name scattered all through the most recent post lists!) so time to update my own, I think - and thats it, have to start thinking now.

Okay. Have just updated my sig, and transferred a bit of spare money to a savings account, for a while at least. Today, I'll be:-
    - dumping old video cassettes at the charity shop, along with a coat I've never, ever worn (not so terrible - bought it for 10p for a fancy dress party), and whatever else I can drum up, in spirit of decluttering.
    - take a walk along the prom, its lovely.
    - bit of Xmas shopping.
    - get back here before the town xplodes with Xmas shoppers in the afternoon (thats really important, actually, cos its horrible. I might delay long enough to go to the library).
    - gardening, yay! - more of my exercise regime (actually, digging).
    - do some online surveys, espec any lightspeed I can find, they're easy and well paid.
    - hunt for a new 0% credit card deal, as mine expires on 1 January.
    - check out the matched betting thread, and open up a new current account to work it all from: I'm determined to have a go at this, along with gtd. Oops, just realised I forgot about this when I transferred the money to the savings account. Oh well, will just have to breathe in.
    - post up the pix of Michael from last week!
    - finish clearing up the kitchen, made some inroads.

Okay, I'd logged off and was having a second brekkie while hunting up a few last charity shop things in the kitchen.

I'm a single person. I live alone. When I drink tea, I use a teabag, unless there's more than 2 people here, in which case I use a yellow teapot I have ready access to. So why have I just found FOUR more teapots sitting there, three of which I've never, ever used? Oh boy.

Plus, lids and shallow trays off things, to grow mustard and cress in. That takes about 10 days, right? I have 16 of them. And I've never done it. Worse than that, I have no mustard and cress seeds :rotfl: I have organic alfalfa seeds, best before May 1996    , more alfalfa sprouting seeds, packed in 2002, and catnip seeds for my cats who died 2 and 3 years ago respectively.

Um, declutter, anyone? Moi? Je suis useless at it. :o

Well done lunar! My problem with ebay, apart from being frightened, is that the stuff is too little to sell - nobody's going to want half a dozen wooden coasters carved with elephants on them, made in Zimbabwe before it crashed and burned... its all like that.

Meantime, I've discovered more seeds - some from various gardens, probably about 5 years ago, which have gone straight in the bin, a sealed packed of cornflower seeds, which I'll sow next year in the front garden (they're old, but they might have a chance, as they're sealed) and **250g** of organic hemp seed, best before end of September 2001! I ask you! I had money to burn in those days. Packet says they can be used whole, roasted or ground. I think I'll try sprouting them!! How bad can it be?
