Parcel delivery from Royal Mail just knocked at the door, with a large box. ????? Turns out to be four tubs of active yogurt I filled in a survey about *yesterday* and they asked if I wanted to product test, so I said yes... and here they are! The packaging is amazing - ice packs, which have gone in my little freezercompartment to help it along, lots of polystyrene bits, which I may keep to act as drainage in flowerpots, a massive polystyrene box (well, massive for 4 tubs of yogurt) which has to be able to be converted into *something* and a conveniently-sized cardboard box, which will be good for storing Amazon packaging materials in! Quite a little treasure trove, this is good stuff. And I wonder if I should count the tubs as part of the July challenge..... :money: :money:
Just done one of the mystery shops, which involved getting mortgage rates, and wanted to quote specifically for my circumstances.... I don't think I'll have to move when my current tracker rate ends, but.... wow, those quotes have made me determined to get a move on.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

My connection is really slow right now... but I've *had to be on Facebook - my 2nd full day. All relatives - the nephew in the UAE, sent him a virtual balloon, and a cousin just turned up too, home from serving in the Gulf. Good times.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Okay, now I'm in trouble. Just been onto redsquirrel's diary, and have teamed up with her (tho she doesn't know it yet! Okay, now I'm in trouble. Just been onto redsquirrel's diary, and have teamed up with her (tho she doesn't know it yet! ) in her challenge from the OS board for £150 on food and cleaning equipment between now and Christmas. Um, thats a third of what my current budget suggests.... Thing is, I have absolutely loads of stuff in, to the extent that I'm using my old, nonworking fridge as storage for my soymilk. I'm vegetarian. And I have loads of cleaning stuff - the only problem might be loo roll, I go through loads of that. It's good to have some company... and it means I can't back out now! Erm, I've had some decent loo roll from the pound shop (6 rolls for £1).. otherwise um, newspapers? leaves? No, I don't think we want to go that far!! :rotfl: Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0  Erm, I've had some decent loo roll from the pound shop (6 rolls for £1).. otherwise um, newspapers? leaves? My grandparents used to do the newspaper thing! I struggled with it when I was 8 years old, I'm *so* not going there! :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Right, just been to do a mystery shop, and spent £4.49, including salad dressing and soy sauce, bought five different types of vegetables, I think thats pretty good for that money. I walked there and back too - the only available bus still leaves me with a 20 minute walk, and I'm not prepared to pay out for that out of mystery shop takings, which are small enough as it is. Of course, when I got there, I realised that this is the day I could have got their freebie bus, but thats still a 15 minute walk, and *thats* over a big hill. Ah well, baby steps.
I've also done some arranging of money: transferred a gfk payment to a now-unused savings account - once that grows to £500, I'll pay it off the loan. Matched betting profits will go into savings. I've also put some savings money into my current account to make another overpayment on the mortgage - that mystery shop phone call yesterday frightened the life out of me, and I had a brochure from the FSA in something else that basically said, overpayment is the way to go if you can. So I am.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Just had a letter from my French mortgage bank, which means I need to amend my sig *upwards*. As at 25.7.08, I'll owe E67859.26. Don't quite understand that, as I was working from a much lower monthly repayment figure, assuming I repaid about E212 a month - but they're telling me I'm repaying just over E270 a month. Its about a revision, tho, so.... I have no idea, basically. When I get a moment, I'll check it out - but I have to write in French, its quite offputting. They don't tell you about this stuff when you're buying a property. And it will be paid off at the end of 2021. I'll be... oh god, I'm not even going to type it. I definitely need to snowball that! 2023: the year I get to buy a car0 As at 25.7.08, I'll owe E67859.26. Got a mystery shop in town today - I'll take the opportunity to do my banking, get a key copied, have a little walk. Otherwise today is freebie bingo, virtual trading (again, gah!), and any other little scheme I can get my mitts on - still loads I can do if I get my act together.2023: the year I get to buy a car0
