just watched on- demand on virgin! I think its a great show as unlike al the reailty shows they just are focusing on conflict when this is peoples own experience. I hear they are doing a new one set in war time cant' wait!!

can you remember the programme the coalhouse.. last year.. it was about 3 families who went back in time to 1927.
well this year they have 3 new families and they are going back to 1944
world war II , with how they coped with rations and working down the mines etc.. bevan boys etc..
starting october the 13th bbc wales
dont know when it is on in other regions..

I love programmes like this .I would love the oppertunity to take part in something like that without the tv element!! I love the 30s 40s clothes and the men always looked so charming in there suits and hats but of course its about much more than that...... Has anyone been watching the second series of coalhouse? It's excellent!
It's currently being broadcast on BBC One Wales (although you can also see it on the website below, which I am doing as I don't live in Wales)

I can't believe it's not being broadcast on national tellyI reckon it would be really popular as it's a reality show kind of along the same lines as the 1940s house and 1900 house shown on Channel 4 a while back :-)
