there is a programme starting on bbc wales on monday at 8.30pm....

about 3 families going back to 1927..... in a 2 up 2 down row of typical welsh coal mining cottages....

they have to live the lives of a coal mining family for 3 weeks....

cant wait for it to start..... we had a build up programmes last night to 'set' the scene so to speak...... once i seen the old style fire/ cooker.. i just fell in love with it..... very ...and i mean ...very os

there is suposed to be a pod cast thing going on as well.. but cant find that at mo.

i dont know whether its is regional...... might well be........ so if it is dont know whether you can pick it up on sty or the internet etc...

hopefully should be good viewing......

We may get it, but I've just checked the listings, and it's not on BBC Scotland, at least not on monday night.

Edit: I think it'll be good to let the kids see just how fortunate they are nowadays. Oh.. just realised it's on at same time as second part of corrie9och well, I can watch corrie at lunchtime on Tue)

Thanks for this, I've just checked as I have freesat & get very few channels, but this is one I can watch.
It's really going to bring back some memories as my uncle and aunt used to live in a mining cottage & I remember going to stay with them as a child.

COOLTRIKERCHICK - it started yesterday (monday) it was really good - was so weird to see them strugglign to buy a bunch of carrots which were like 10 shillings (?) and the woman with 6 kids only had 5 shillings, no milk for her 1 year old and not alot else - startign the fire seemed to be a huge challenge for some! lol
