Evening all. Been an awful day up here in Yorkshire, as it has all over the place. Hope everyone is keeping warm.
Work was very quiet - I work in an office and only 2 of us made it in. The rest all live further afield and could not make it in. The canteen staff couldn't make it either, so I was very glad I'd taken some food in with me. I nearly didn't.
Sausage pasta for dinner tonight, and I've made double so that I can take it for lunch tomorrow too.Not heavily in debt, but still trying to sort things out.

Hi chums ,blooming cold here in Kent, but no more snow at the moment but due to get some more tomorrow. Just fed up of enforced staying at home, I am used to being out almost daily
But hopefully it will pass like most things do. Youngest DD's shop was shut at lunchtime as all their phones and internet went down and the walk-in trade was nil
she can't do viewings because the side roads are lethal. Luckily she has a day off tomorrow .
DGS Ben is OK in Norwich, but texted to say he can't get to work tonight at the nightclub, as the transport has virtually ceased ,even the taxi drivers aren't working (don't blame them)Mind you I don't think they would have many customers ,so he can concentrate on his forthcoming finals at Uni in May
DGS Danny in New York had to go into work around 4.00 a.m this morning to do a conferance call to the UK for his meeting that he couldn't fly in for because of the white stuff. Bless him I hope he gets an early finish this afternoon.
All schools are closed so eldest Dd and DGD Holly are at home plus Holly's b/f who can't get back to his house and my son-in-law also cannot get into to work on the Isle of Sheppey. I think its sensible if you can stay indoors its probably the best place ,even if it does get a bit boring
Fingers crossed it will go as quickly as it arrived
Keep warm and dry if you can

If you google Leek, cheese and potato pasties you will come across a BBC Good Food recipe. That's what I did. I didn't use fresh thyme as I hadn't any but substituted a sprinkling of mixed herbs. I had no cream so made a bit of white sauce with corn flour and milk. You don't wan it too thin.
DH and DS wolfed them down.
If you can't find the recipe give me a shout.
Cheers
