Thanks all. Yes, we had a lovely holiday. We could have stayed another night but we decided to enjoy our final day, then drive home in the evening. It's a 3-hour run (& that's without stops) so it was late when we got home, but very little traffic on route which is always a plus.
Well, a proper busy day so far as everywhere I look I can see a job! Mr F volunteered to go & get the grocery shopping before unpacking all his stuff & I've been doing post-holiday laundry, unpacking my stuff & dealing with the pile of post.
Treating ourselves to a takeaway tonight & catching up with some TV. We have come home with quite a decent underspend on our holiday budget so I will be having a proper look at that tomorrow. After so many months of workmen coming & going, it will be so lovely next week only to have the piano tuner booked in. I intend to make big inroads into Christmas shopping & a bit of festive planning generally & hopefully make a start on sewing new landing curtains. I already have the fabric, so no spending required there.
Hope everyone doing OK. Will hopefully be back to regular updates now that I'm back.

I wouldn't be without mine this time of year @Four_Seasons. I've got two loads of holiday laundry drying on it at the moment. Expecting most of it to be dry by tomorrow morning. Glad you are pleased with your purchase.

It’s not been bad this week here, quite mild but dull. Today I’ve been in a neighbouring county (think sheep 😆) visiting a friend so didn’t notice the drizzle until later.

I did, thanks, @Onebrokelady. Back to normality now though, including a much-needed surge of catching-up jobs around the house & especially the garden. Hope my sewing machine isn't still throwing a wobbly, as I need to get on with some serious curtain-making over the coming week.

Ah, the 'sheep county' @Sun_Addict, lol. I am nearer to our other neighbour.........(think 'poachers' - the old folk song, am not casting aspersions on anyone's possible light-fingered attitude to pheasants.......)
