Hi Foxgloves, delurking here to say that I have read your entire diary over the last few weeks and have enjoyed it immensely, so am following along. Feel a little bit sad that I have caught up to the present day to be honest! I have been so impressed with your outlook and productivity (even the days where you say you haven't achieved much you really have compared to me, I can be a real lazy bones!) and you have really inspired me to take control of various aspects of my life.
I have taken a few leaves out of your book by doing super frugal shops, we have planted various seeds (only our second year of trying so early days), made the garlic flat breads - delicious! Have also been making bread rolls and freezing - don't know why I haven't thought of that earlier. Bought the cranks cookery book which has some really good recipes in, have even ended up doing that happy mile walk a few times. We have both joined prolific too which is something I hadn't heard of before. I have been eating that frog as often as possible and am finding it is doing wonders for how much I achieve and also how I feel about what I have achieved.
I hope you are feeling better from the vaccine side effects soon - my husband and I have had the Pfizer and were both ok apart from achey arms, but many people seem to feel poorly after the Oxford one. Hopefully that speaks to its efficacy! Anyway I shall enjoy reading your updates when you feel up to it (I doubt you will be down for long!)10 -
Awww, Scandimore, welcome & your lovely comments are much appreciated. Mr F was only saying this morning that he could fancy some garlic flatbreads so I've told him to look out for yellow stickered yoghurt when he does the grocery run tomorrow. I started my MSE participation on the Daily Small Things thread & picked up lots of ideas. I started my diary, really, because I wanted to share that it really is possible to reform even very entrenched bad money habits - my relationship with debt began at 19 & I was well into my 40s when the LBM finally struck. Do feel free to kick in comments & share ideas. Everybody welcome.

Hello Wednesday Money Wranglers,
Oh my days, I can't remember when I last had such an unproductive day. I was fine yesterday post-Monday night's vaccine, but by bedtime, I just couldn't seem to get warm, so Mr F made me a hot water bottle & I thought I'd be fine. But my jabbed arm, which had so far only been stiff & sore, started throbbing, which it kept up for 2 hours so I couldn't get to sleep. I awoke at 4.30 boiling hot with a bad headache so was down in the kitchen by 4.45 dosing myself with paracetamol. They did get rid of the headache but I have spent most of today with no energy, feeling as though I'm going down with something. So I decided to throw in the towel & rest. I put our dinner in the slow cooker, made the decorator a cup of coffee, gave my cute robin his mealworms, then flopped on the sofa where I've knitted & watched TV all day. I perked up a bit mid-afternoon & played the piano, made Mr F a packed lunch & had a little chat with my tomato seedlings, but then I had to sit down again......but I'm ok, it will be temporary & is about a million times better than being hospitalised with Covid. Am hoping I'll be able to get more stuff done tomorrow, but I'll see how I feel.
Oh, just remembered I need to add a tin of butterbeans to the slow cooker so will go & do that now. At least I haven't spent any money today!

I hope you feel back to yourself soon. Plenty of rest and fluids should help and taking the paracetamol up to bed with you in case you need it in the night.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

That’s just how I felt after my jab. I even fell asleep momentarily at my desk (I work from home). I’ve booked the day off after my 2nd jab. Hopefully you’ll be fine tomorrow. I was just tired the following day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Oh no! When I read your comment on my diary I had assumed that you were fine. I'm sorry it's caught up... I was just so desperate for sleep and I couldn't get any. I was too hot, too cold, couldn't get comfortable. Thankfully I'm good today though so a couple of off days I can live with.
Hopefully you'll be fighting fit tomorrow as well. Much love

Thanks, all of you. I am feeling brighter already, just tired now. Hoping to have further improved by tomorrow.
