I e got my jab at the weekend. Probably sensible to get booked up Foxgloves and it's easy to cancel and re-arrange. Next week is the start of the "double running" - that is second doses for the first cohort of people at the same time as continuing to roll out first doses so there might be fewer available slots.8

@Blackcats & @savingmore - Yes, I think we just all want to get that needle in our arms now & feel like things might be slowly moving on. I do fell better for having those two appointments in my diary.

Hello Diary Readers,
Oh my giddy trousers, what weather!! Wind howling around the house all night, rain lashing the windows, more of the same this morning, although this afternoon has been an odd mixture of first the blackest clouds & squalls, then blue sky & sunshine. I think that is typical of March - either freezing winds & rain or lush Spring gardening days.
A productive day, however, in which I achieved the following:
*Mid-month budget check-in done (a little early but I intend to pay in March's account skim to savings tomorrow & wanted to double-check I can still manage the larger amount - yes, I can, yay!)
*Did 3 surveys on the site I am intending to drop, which took me to exactly the £25 I need to cash-out. Look forward to my earnings landing in my account.
*Decluttered magazine basket & moved some on to pile for friend & one to swap with my sister (that way we both get to read 2 monthly titles)
*Wrote list for town tomorrow as there are a number of useful things I can get done & I have the Wheels!
*Progressed ongoing old family photo project & packed up the remainder for returning to the person who loaned them. All recycled packaging materials from my stash, which must save have saved a small fortune over the years.
*Made a list of books/audiobooks I want to read over the next couple of months.
*Cleared out & cleaned 2 cupboards which have really been annoying me. A good bit of decluttering - had to start a couple of bin bags!
*Researched knitting books for Nordic-type mitten patterns - decided that as I only really want a pattern for these & can adapt once I am familiar with it, it would be more cost-effective to buy a download, so I am going to print out the 3 versions shortly & doubtless start dreaming about yarn. I am thinking I could knit a few pairs for Christmas presents.
Despite being tired yesterday from rubbish sleep, I had a bit of a re-boot in the evening & did
next week's meal plans & wrote the grocery list & it must have been catching, as Mr F disappeared upstairs with the pliers & sorted out a radiator problem.
Easy meal tonight. I fished the tamale pie base I cooked last week out of the freezer & just need to whisk up the cornbread topping, which is super-speedy. I intend to do a round-up of veg odds & ends too, to stir-fry to serve with it.
Then, I am thinking another episode of 'Bloodlands' (the end of Episode 2 was such a shock!) & a blanket square to finish.
I do feel more positive today than I've done for ages - I'm not sure why - hope it lasts, though!
Cheers m'dears,
F x

Had my vaccine yesterday (yeh)....felt absolutely awful today. Don’t want to complain, but it’s been miserable. hope it passes overnight. come on here for some cheering up and normal routine.6

I felt terrible the next day too savingmore, in fact it came on during the night. Was fine the following day though.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Foxgloves, I am not sure where I think Bloodlands is going after the end of the second episode and not much clearer after the third. Are you a Line of Duty fan? I am completely hooked and beside myself at the prospect of the new series6

I didn't see the 3rd episode in the end, @Tescodealqueen, but I shall see it this weekend for sure.
As for 'Line of Duty' - Yes, am a huge fan & it looks like the new series is going to be sooner than I thought, as my money was on this Autumn.
