It must be the eggs you bought Foxgloves because my niece just posted a photo of some cupcakes she made today and they have blue eggs on top 🙀I managed to get some self-raising flour today and got very excited about it,I'm hoping the thrill of finding the item you went into the shop for remains when this is all over,I felt like a caveman dragging something back to the cave 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1206

I don't know if finding a 'shortage' item will remain a thrill, OBL, but I think we will all remember that certain supplies can become very limited extremely quickly. And I hope govt+ media will remember that if you consistently say 'There's no need to panic buy' next to a picture of empty supermarket aisles, the visual message is the stronger one & therefore the story has the reverse effect. I think many of us will simply feel more grateful for our usually stable food supply chains.

Greetings Sunbeams,
Have been in the garden in glorious sunshine all day. Although I've settled on my seat by the pond with a coffee & slice of simnel cake, I have been fairly productive today. I've sown a trough each of red spring onions, white spring onions & purple radishes and a big pot of rocket. I've watered all my greenhouse plant babies & administered a dose of liquid worm food to the rhubarb. I've baked a loaf of bread & taken my calculator to a section of knitting pattern which contains an error..... as in the pattern is incorrect, not me. That is now sorted out, thankfully. It was expensive yarn I received as a gift & I was so lucky to receive it, I really want to make a good job of the lovely jumper it's turning into.
Oh..... & also this morning, a classic case of 'Nature gives & Nature takes away'. I went to fetch my watercress seed from my seed box & couldn't find any. I thought I'd bought a packet before lockdown but it must have dropped off the list. Not a problem as I had already sown the rocket, but when I bent to pull out some obvious weeds from the narrow bed alongside my greenhouse I noticed some useful self-sown plants coming up...... lamb's lettuce..... also known as land cress. So no watercress, but I was able to transplant a dozen into my herb bed, where they should provide some salad snippings for a few weeks. I hadn't realised they self-seed so easily, so will make sure I let one bolt & sprinkle it when the time is right.
Mr F cooking tonight, then we have planned to have the fairy lights on in the conservatory & start a weekend board games/cards tournament. The loser has to buy the winner a magazine & treat of their choice. I would love to win! I must make sure I don't hit the gin too early or I may not fare too well in the Jenga round!
Take care all of you. We have to make the best of it, it's all we can do. Thinking of everyone affected & will be lighting a candle for them tonight.

Keep away from the gin @foxgloves and win the games tournament, you know you want to. Don't let Mr Foxgloves get you a drink he might give you double measuresFashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Well, CCL, the tournament won't end until at least tomorrow night. I got off to a rubbish start. I lost the first round of Scrabble which was really annoying as it is generally a very strong game for me. I had rubbish letters throughout....not a single vowel for at least ten goes! I followed this by losing Genius Square, which is so easy to play, but needs a logical mathsy sort of brain to do it at the speed required to win. So Mr F took all 3 games. Then despite getting off to a great start in 7-card brag, the rubbish cards started & didn't stop till he'd won that too. I'd had a large gin by then & a saucer of caramel buttons, so I wasn't too fussed about losing. However, I need to recover my competitive spirit tonight. My plan is to hand him a beer while he's doing roast lamb 'because the kitchen is so hot', then to open a bottle of his favourite malbec while only drinking one small glass of it myself. I'm also planning to drink a pint of water this afternoon so that my brain cells are nicely hydrated.
As for now.... I'm full of chocolate & I think I'll head down to my pondside bench with my knitting basket & I've also chosen a new library book to read. Finished Cornish mystery at 2.15am.....I didn't suss it until nearly the end!
Wishing everyone a Happy Easter..... it's an unusual one for sure. It is helping my mood & positivity levels to potter around enjoying the many signs of Spring...... that at least is normal.
Take care now, & remember all those anti-oxidants in chocolate 🍫
