Hello flyfriends - thanks for the list last week Honey Bear and for this week Natty. Hope you had a great holiday Valli and welcome home Ionafan.

Snow predicted here on Friday :j hope it arrives :D Tiny has anti-freeze for blood, so will go to preschool in a T-shirt and shorts, otherwise he will have a full-on snotty tantrum. (I do send jumpers, jogging bottoms, boots and a coat, but at three, he already knows his own mind ) Small is far more sensible and dresses according to the weather.

I'm in this week, but concentrating on the master bedroom as furniture is arriving in Friday. I have to fill, sand, paint and paper to have it ready for then. No pressure then! Busy, busy, busy...

Am I the only person who, if someone gave me chocolates and I put them in the cupboard, would actually forget they were there? :D
Hope you soon feeling a bit better. I've had half a bar of chocolate in the drawer for about a year and my C box of after 8 has about six out of it :rotfl:

I get what you mean about the texts though - I sent one to remind children to bring their reading bag. I had to tell the parent who queried the text that it was aimed at one family (whose child rarely brings it) - but that I didn't want to single them out - so everyone in that reading group got the text! It truly is a minefield.......
Sounds like the letters we get from the management team about various things done/not done which carefully say at the bottom of the letter that all the residents have received the letter ;)

If it's gone I've done it or don't have one

Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Clean floors,
    Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Wipe dining table (clean table cloth if necessary)
Dust any extra furniture in dining area
Clean the INSIDE of the microwave... don’t forget the ceiling!!!
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances
15 minute fling and tidy in that junk drawer in the kitchen.. get rid of all that stuff you put in there for ‘later’
Have you got plenty of de-icer/salt in case you need it when the snow gets here?
    Extra Mission
    Choose one or more of:
Make sure to keep warm when the snow arrives.
Wipe window sills and clean windows in these rooms

Hugs, sticks and spoons all round as needed
Hope you all have a safe Monday

Morning all. Thanks for the list. I am in. Three days of paid stuff to be done then I am giving myself March off before new permanent or temporary paid stuff.

So far today I have dusted the dusty bits in the LR. If there is time before the paid stuff I also want to attack the dusty bits in our bedroom, so going off list today somewhat.

    Have a great day everyone.

Thanks for the list Natty. I'm in this week.
If we didn't occasionally take a week/month/year off from Flying we wouldn't need to be here, Frodders. It takes a while when you've stopped working fulltime to find your feet so be gentle with yourself while you find your own personal momentum.

Regarding Slinkyness, chuffed as nuts to be able to report that since the start of Lent, so 12 days, I've lost a kilo. I was beginning to wonder if it was working because it doesn't show but the scales don't lie. I had real sugar cravings last week every day for hours so I'm particularly pleased. And no, Lamewolf, since you ask, I cannot lie and claim that I've ever put a bar of chocolate in a drawer and forgotten it for six months. I had to ask OH to hide all of my chocolate for the whole of Lent because otherwise I simply wouldn't be able to trust myself to keep my Lenten promise.
    Better is good enough.

I have walked the dogs, put the recycling out, submitted meter readings, dusted the bedroom and hoovered downstairs.

    Catch you all later.

Good morning from a frosty corner of Wales :snow_grin

So far I have got through an hour of ironing, an hour of timber oiling, collected eggs, got the woodburner roaring, put out recycling, emptied the dishwasher and WM x 2 (now on airer)

Quick cuppa before heading into town to meet with a jeweller to chat about remodelling my old eternity ring from hubby no: 1 into earings, as I lost a diamond a couple of weeks ago and had to have it cut off as I am so fat

My counselling has started me looking at things in a different light and I've realised that wearing his ring is no longer appropriate and I can let it go without feeling disloyal. I could get it repaired with an insurance claim, but....Bossy would understand...I miss her. Hope she's OK x
  • So far:

    - Small people decluttered to places of education :j
    - Dog walked
    - Cuppa slurped
    - VAT nearly done - will be ready to submit on 1st March (polishes halo)
    - Some invoices paid for DH
    - Everywhere hoovered
    - Bath now soaking in super toxic stuff which will hopefully shift the tide mark!
    - Laundry put away - have vowed not to use TD much anymore as electric bill through the roof so drying in front of woodburner is the way to go!
    - Breakdown cover taken out - realised yesterday we don't have any!

    Onwards x
