For example a couple couldnt live in the house they had purchased for 2 years and had to travel extensively to oversee work (that shouldnt have been required in the first place) every single weekend and their marriage even broke down due to the strain caused by it. They were awarded £750 - the equivalent of approx £1 per day.
Also, any claim for "psychological pain" would require an actual psychological/psychiatric injury.0 -
Long story short, I went to the hairdressers and she was using a clipper to cut any fly away hair I guess, the clipper slipped out of her hand and it cut a chunk of hair from the back of my head. Ever since then I have had to tie up my hair to cover the bald spot, I never used to do that and it's been very difficult on me. I'm taking her to small claims court, it is possible to claim anything for the emotional and psychological pain that I've had to endure? Cheers
Had to dry my eyes I have laughed so hard, cheers!0 -

I'd be inclined to speak to the manager and see if you can get some sort of compensation in the form of a goodwill gesture.0

The answer at the time was to switch to a No. 1 all over, for example0

Were there any children present when the incident occured? If yes, then double that £250k...
In reality, really??? It was an accident. Something to laugh about. Claim for a hairband and a refund for the haircut, as these are your losses.
Might even get enough for a meatballs sarnie from subway, providing the kids can try them first to make sure they like them...0 -
Joking aside, you need to go back to the salon and speak to the owner/manager about the incident. Tell them you didn't realise how bad it was until you had paid and gone home. They may offer you a free haircut, but I wouldn't expect anything else.
Make sure you don't get the same stylist if you go back for the freebie.Veteran gamer and clean freak0
